It’s close to being a 5 stars but it’s very difficult to navigate through lines. Would be nice if rather than saying (see chapter Ad1) and you having to exit the chapter you are in and find that chapter, that you could just click on the (see chapt ad1) and it took you there. Also mine crashes a lot.

I own Martin Lokander's 'The Open Games with Black'. I can open it in Chess Viewer on my ipad pro, but not on my ipad mini. I did try 'Restore Purchases', but no luck. iIt also no longer recognizes the pgn files in my library. Miserable app, NOT recommended.

I have this app also on android tablet and want to transfer my library but there is no info on this. No way am I going to pay out for all these titles again.

This could be so much more. Instead it saddles the user with a huge board and a little tiny window to read the text in (7 lines of text at a time, if in portrait mode, and a skinny column that allows about 7 words on a line in landscape mode). It’s a shame, really. Everyman puts out some interesting and useful books; they deserve a better reader entry than this.

This is the best pgn viewer I found for the iPhone. It has some quirks like that it exits if I switch apps directly into a game in a file/book (need to go back to open the file/book first) and it has some issues reading certain pgn characters e.g. +=,! Etc. (exits)

I've tried many of the various chess book apps, and this is the one that I utilize the most.

This is one of the worst chess apps. I will be deleting it soon. 1. Cant see info on game as I scroll database 2. Horrible interface for navigating variations. Look at forward chess how they do it 3. Pgn doesn’t capture annotations properly 4. All books are too expensive
Spastic Fugue
Only one improvement I could hope for: stronger engine and more control over its configuration.
