I tried so many times, but not worth the frustration and poor UI for settings.
This is a fantastic app. Rated games, non-rated games, increasing difficulty if one likes - a great challenge !
This program is a perfect example of what happens when “Awesome” & “Genius” collide!!!
Let's you try different approaches to opening moves, middle game and end situations.
Not a big chess player so I enjoy playing at a level where I'm not in check in 6 moves, and game is simple to use, change and learn from.
Integrates nicely with Game Center. Attractive chess board, nice wooden sound, appearance. Built-in tutor. Works well consistently, allows me to keep a running game going with my son who lives three states away. Even has nice messaging function, so you can correspond with opponent. This is my go-to app after I am done with everything else.
The only glitch is that the computer makes the match a draw in four moves if it’s in trouble. But there is no way to make it a draw if you are out of options. So it does cheat a bit in favor of itself. But it’s a really fun game.
