Good app, BUT

Origam-e

This app is good for the convenience of being able to take mobile payments. There is no doubt about that. One of my issues with this app is the placement of the "TIP" screen. The TIP screen comes before the signature screen. It would be EXTREMELY rude to hand any client my iPad set on the presumption that they wanted to leave a tip. It should be put on the signature screen as an option for them while they are signing. (Just like some of other competing apps). Another issue is the constant signing into this account even with my device (iPad) locked when I go to run a transaction. If I manage to mis-spell my password it then removes the randomly provided "User Name" and I then have to figure out the User Name again. Kind of a pain, figuring its a random name. One of my suggestions for these type of apps is to have a version that has several Independent Contractor's linked into one app (different bank accounts), but a simple 3 digit code that let's you switch between users easily. Thus giving you the power to be EASILY centralized in one app with other account options.

Annoying

Every 2 days I have to delete the app and re install. When it works, it's great. Wish they'd fix it.

Frustrating

Thatguypkhasathirdappendage

It works but I have to delete and download the app every day or two because it keeps getting errors

Technical issues

Qwwqpoqq

Every time I go to use this app to collect payment, it comes up with an error. I delete it then install it again. There's no other way around it. A hassle and time consuming when I'm with a client. Otherwise it works better than anything else like it out there.

Corp cards

God is a verb

As Square & PayPal don't accept Corp cards this is wonderful it takes all cards, even government issue credit cards.

Needs improvement

They fixed the orientation feature so that it works better with an iPad in this version, but there are still so many problems that I have to deal with on a daily basis that are making me consider moving to another processor. First, the constant logging in. It's a real pain to have to log in for each transaction. Second, the screen layout should be more user friendly. My clients squint every time the signature/tipping screen pops up. It's embarrassing that have to explain how to tip. It should be more apparent. The space could be better utilized. Lastly, I have to uninstall this app at least once a day because of "security validation" issues. Chase Paymentech really should look more at the competition and step up their game. My card reader quit working after almost a year and they wanted to charge me to replace it. I need easier for my business not more unnecessary work.

I used it for over 2 years and it was a struggle every time I tried to perform a transaction. Too many problems period.

Buggy App / Poor Customer Service

Moi108

I want to like this app. Chase has set their rates lower than the competition, which makes Paymentech enticing, however.. The app is really buggy and crashes regularly. You would think a mega-company like Chase could afford to hire decent programmers or decent customer service representatives.. But no, not with Paymentech. After the last app update, with items in my catalog on the app, if I select more than one item, the app crashes entirely. Every time. Customer service confirmed it was due to the app and not my device (iPhone 5S). They also sounded dubious that they would have it fixed anytime soon, rendering the app useless to me until that time, indefinitely. Even though I can't use the app until they fix the bug, they would still be charging me the monthly fees and would not agree to putting my account on hold until that time. I asked to have my account put on hold until the bug was fixed rendering it usable, and they said that I would have to continue paying my monthly fees. On top of it being So I did what any sensible person would do and immediately canceled my account with them entirely.

App is horrible

I never review apps but maybe after posting this review someone in Chase may listen to my advice and release a better version of this app. This app is no where near as good as square period. The only reason we decided to switch to Chase was the better rates. But in return have gotten nothing but headaches. 1. The swiper came 2 weeks late. I had to contact my sales agent to get the ball rolling. They were quick to charge the monthly fee, blow my phone up with calls non stop until I agreed to purchase the mobile swiper for $68 and I had no swiper. Supposedly there were problems in the shipping warehouse but either way someone dropped the ball on there end. 2. Non stop calls to schedule a site survey. Don't know why it's required and no one had an explanation. But we had a guy come with no identification take pics of our business, permits and licenses. Asked several questions and was not friendly. Again with square they did not send anyone to do a site survey. 3. They want to push there expensive readers first and will only sell you a mobile reader as a last resort. 4. The interface is a complete joke. During the phone training I explained to the rep that the signature screen is way too small the signatures are unreadable. I have this app on an IPad Air 2 and the signature box is maybe 1x2 inch. I sent here an email of a screen shot of what I was looking at since she couldn't see what I was seeing. Yet she was training me how to use the app? She said she would talk to tech support and return my call but never did. 5. Funds get delayed 2-3 days. Square will deposit your funds next day but Chase does not. Really don't know why since square processes payments through Chase. Please look at squares app and take notes. Chase's app looks like a beta version. I haven't had any problems with crashing but the reader is glitchy and won't always read the first swipe. We are considering switching back to square if updates aren't made to the app and monthly fees become to high.
