Could be better

It felt like I was using an app in beta. Great idea but slightly buggy and unpolished.

Good start but...

Being able to do rough storyboards on a script is great specially for a director. But I have to be able to sketch out my own stuff by drawing on it specially under the heading of "sketch" right? Please update to allow to use a drawing tool inside the sketch window. Thks.

You can't sketch

Adamcutrope

I was hoping to be able to sketch out some thoughts as I wrote out all my shots. But you have to sketch in another program save it and import it to this program. It's quite a pain. I would really like to be able to do it all in one. Please fix this, then this would be a worth while app for sure.

Forget this as a paid service

Not intuitive enough, support forums require someone to authorize you before you can post your question and possibly get assistance from other users. Not very user friendly at all. Several bugs and issues going between desktop and mobile. Still cannot get my storyboards to my iPad after two days of sifting through circuitous question and answer sessions from up to four years ago on the forums. And no "fix" has been posted for any of the issues. Cannot load storyboard from iTunes. Even though the advertisement claimed that I could. Cannot load storyboard from cloud even though advertisement claimed that I could.

Concept great - 2 main problems

redindian75

I loved the idea of creating storyboards for my celtx. But found 2 main drawbacks which essentially makes this app not very useful. 1) Does not sync back to the cloud using Celtx Cloud - you need to do it only thro itunes sync (Dev's say that is due to the massive amounts of data) - but still that doesnt make it useful for my workflow. At least they should have iCloud or Dropbox support. 2) No sketching - Yes, you read it right - you can just assemble boxes and lines and pre-made objects. But no free form drawing. This is again another big drawback. But still its a great product - i will leave it on my ipad waiting for an update to fix these problems. I dont mind paying $9.99 if they solve these two problems.

Amazing for story boarding

vashogunartist

Just found out there iarevceltx apps for iPhone for the script writing and for storyboards. I am freakin out right now. You can dictate with your voice on the 4s so it's going to be so easy to speak and transpose my handwritten work onto the program and into PDFs. Also with cloud support I can work between my laptop and phone to finish my scripts. There is no excuse for me not to finish them as I can work on the go little by little and use my voice to take the notes. The storyboard app is amazing can blow in shots with industry standard symbols and markers for all sorts of things crea positions props actors. I can even import hand sketches. This app paired with autodesk sketchbook mobile is going to make the script to rough art stage so seamless as easy. Thanks celtx for being awesome. Wish it had a basic paint function so I wouldn't have I sketch in another app and import but it's no big deal.

Sketch?

captcork

I want a free draw ability that I don't have to import from a computer to do. I want to be able to draw a storyboard on the go. As soon as this app has that capability and a better UI for the sketch feature then it can earn a 5 star review in my eyes.
