This game attempts to blend the mindless but enjoyable nature of matching jewels games with a RPG and fails miserably. You hit your first pay to play wall very quickly. The story, if you can call it that, is beyond basic and utterly not compelling. The actually gem matching mechanic is clunky and quite frankly makes little sense - move this gems and all the others shift so that you cannot make the match you had intended. Skip this one - it's a complete waste of time.

At first I had given this game 5 stars, because the mechanics and story line reminded me of a match 3 baldurs gate, but the time management in the game is awful. As you leave the first town it takes AP to move across the map which is ok but you don't know where you are going and you can't scroll around to see ahead and you use up that AP super quick ... And you are out of AP before you get to the next playing area and have to wait more. And then the last straw for me was not being able to resume the quest unless I came back the following day at the exact same time...really? Thanks for the teaser...

Paid money to continue quest then game freezes and you can't match the balls Only choice was to try and restart game but lost gems to play.

Honestly, it's a pretty good game. I have enjoyed it. Don't listen to some of the reviews that over think something that is supposed to be simple and enjoyable. It's a good game(:

Pros: 1) quality RPG elements 2) different twist on match 3 gem games 3) easy to understand mechanics Cons: 1) RPG needs refinement (customize party, character abilities, etc) 2) match 3 is confusing to those who've played traditional match-3 and the board is rather small for the concept to be effective 3) AP that recharges to complete quests (only get about 3-4 quests before needing to recharge or pay-to-play)

I enjoyed the core gameplay quite a bit. It is like a deeper and more strategic Puzzles and Dragons. However everything else about this app is terrible. The walking stamina system might make some quit the moment they encounter it. The hand drawn graphics vary so greatly in quality as to be distracting. Worst of all, the facebook connection system is the worst I have ever seen. Despite numerous attempts, I could never get the same game running on two different devices (iPad and iPhone). I did not feel like playing two separate saves, and the fifth time it asked me to start over, I just deleted the app from both.
