Nice interface but erratic weather predictions.

Hallywood53

I want to like it. I love the look and layout. Problem is the actual weather predictions. We’ve been getting 3-5 inches of snow here and there this past week. This app is predicting 10-15 inches each time, even as the storms are about to pass. It will show a small percentage chance of snow while it’s snowing. A 3-star rating is generous considering that I bought this app to know the weather. Edit: I just discovered that I can change the weather source...for a fee. The $5 I paid for the app was insufficient to receive reasonably accurate forecasts. I’m downgrading my rating from a 3 to a 2. This is very disappointing.

My kind of weather

Accurate forecasts and entertaining comments that are brilliantly funny. Keep up the great job.

Hilarious. Love it.

This is an incredible app, and I love it. However, my main use for it is on my Apple Watch series 2, 42mm, and it crashes constantly. I love all of the complications available, and I love the accuracy. The iPhone app is incredible! But my Apple Watch wishes it could get a more stable update. Wonderful app!

Funny but not accurate

I have been patient with the accuracy of the weather. But today it said 2 to 5 inches of snow. It was sunny all day. All local weather did not have snow In the forecast either.

It’s raining, but CARROT says it’s not

I was stoked to get this app a day or two ago, but for the last two nights we’ve had freezing rain in New Orleans of all places, but carrot isn’t showing it in her forecast or her radar map. I’m disappointed as I’d heard good things about carrot, but now I’m wishing I’d spent my money on an app that knows when it rains, since I live in a very rainy city. Help me carrot developers, please? Signed, A very sad Lizzy

Network error

Kcteague

I continue to get network errors more time then I get to see the weather hopefully they get that fixed because it’s not me or my Internet

Looks promising, but...

I’m not sure if it’s an iOS 11 issue or related to app itself, but weather widget is not refreshing regularly, which beats its purpose?

A must-buy for any Apple Watch user

When I first got this app I thought it was way overpriced since it didn’t even have rain notifications like Dark Sky. That was until I got an Apple Watch for Christmas. It makes the app so much more useful! I’ve now purchased every in-app purchase (IAP) for CARROT⁵ and finally feel as if the cost was justified. Here’s my reasoning why: 1.) Weather Underground often has much more accurate weather data/forecasts than Dark Sky’s source do EXCEPT for rain notifications. The “Ultra Premium” IAP let’s me use Weather Underground as the data source on my Watch and phone while still using Dark Sky as a data source for rain notifications (WU doesn’t minute-by-minute rain data like Dark Sky does). So now I’ve got the best weather data from WU and the most accurate rain notifications from Dark Sky. Perfect. Definitely worth $10 per year. 2.) The level of customization for basically everything is fantastic. In the winter I like seeing how much snow I’m going to get on any given day, but in the summer I don’t care about how many inches of rain there’s going to be, I just want to know if there’s a high chance of rain in case I need an umbrella. Changing this in CARROT⁵ is super easy. I now have it set to show (for every hour of the day) both the amount of rain/snow AND the chance of precipitation next to each other. Love it. I also prefer the “feels like” temp readout much more than actual temp since wind can make a big difference to how it feels in the winter. Again, super easy to change this on my phone and Watch. There’s more stuff I like too (the sass and design are both awesome), but these are just the two things I feel have justified the high price of the app and it’s in app purchases. Like I said before, initially I thought this app was a rip off with its high $5 price (compared to other apps like Dark Sky) and lack of rain notifications (without a Watch). Believe me when I say this though, an Apple Watch makes this 100% worth it. Best weather app by far

Kinda useful

Location gets stuck. Weather for a place I was 300 miles and 6 hours ago isn’t very useful. Fix that and get another star

This app not only had excellent weather info that you can customize how it displays, it also brightens my day with the perfect amount of humor to go with it. I love the Overkill mode.
