Subscription service? No thanks.

So much for the $20 Pro option. This subscription service idea is terrible and I am no longer intereste. It's not worth it - if I buy hardware, I do not want to keep paying for software on a regular basis. I'll look for a full-on OBDII scanner instead.

New pricing structure ended it for me.

Great app

If you want to tweak the settings of your car and want it easy this is the app for you. I had issues using the app with my car and tech support helped me determine it was a bad odb. It also lets you diagnose check engine lights and more. Highly recommend this app and the support you get with it.

$20 option

Semi-Hex

The listed $20 Pro option isn't available when you sign up, so I had to use the $10, one week option. It was ok since I was able to do everything I wanted to do (turn off some beeping and opening windows). A little misleading but it was still cheaper than taking it in to someone to have it done.

The new pricing policy is not good!

Very expensive, I'm looking for cheaper alternatives.

Works to customize 2015 Prius

First of all-- I'm not a fan of their pricing model. To get any functionality from the app, you have to pay. And the $10 per week, $40 per year doesn't provide value to the customer. Carista should consider softening the pricing model and consider customer value when selecting pricing (hence a deduction of a star). That said, the app worked exactly as intended to customize settings on my 2015 Prius that otherwise would have required a costly trip to the dealer (and possible have the dealer deny changing said settings). A few things I was able to change on my Prius that I LOVE: 1) Turn off the darn reverse beep. There are two settings: 1) beep incessantly that makes you want to shatter your GPS nav touch screen, and 2) beep once. The Carista app successfully changed this to beep once. 2) Turn off the setting that turns the blowers on max when you turn on the front defroster. Factory setting: max. Noisy and annoying. Customized setting: fans go to a mid way setting, which is just as effective and much quieter. There are a slew of other customizations available for the Prius that the app developers website details per car make/model. Even though the pricing isn't ideal, for $10 for a week license you can make any necessary changes using an OBD2 adapter and never have to look at it again. I just highly recommend you have a plan for which settings you want to change and then try out those settings to see if you like them better than the factory/stock settings.

Easy

S5 Driven

Easy to follow prompts. I like the product.

Worthless

Worthless. Used to tell you the codes now it gives you nothing. Don't waste your time.

Works well with my 2015 Lexus

WRC App

The app and their OBD2 Bluetooth adapter work well. I can see and clear codes and set the custom settings that a dealer would charge to do. Carista have constantly updated the app to do more and read more vehicles. I am very happy with the app.

Don't spend a dime on their scam....

Hopefully this will help a lot of you guys since I had to go through it my self. I bought their adopter just because it was stated on their site that they had a 20 dollar unlimited customization option in the AppStore . I come to find out that it's only a subscription based. You can buy a Vag com used for 150-200. Unlimited uses , works on bunch of cars, much more customization options And no yearly subscription. And the best one , it does not scam you for your money. I just basically spend 40 dollars in which I am returning the device and getting me a vag com.
