Carista OBD2 is free iOS app published by Prizmos OOD

Love the app and love the Carista OBD2 adapter as well. It cleared 12 codes I didn’t even know I had as well as unlock features of both my R56 itself and my key fob. The dealer charges an arm and a leg to unlock these features that are already there and to program a key fob not to mention the price to diagnose and clear codes. If I do have to bring it in to the shop I’ll feel much more confident knowing what the issue is even before I arrive. This thing will probably end up saving me so much time, money, and hassle.

Hit or miss

I've used it for about a year now. In that time I've purchased three audis. Features that used to work don't now. Simple features like the Wink or Footwell lights can't be changed and error message appears. So my other two cars have that feature but my new one cant. No email response from support after I emailed them. Other customizations work perfect.

Painfully slow

App is painfully slow reading trouble codes. Several minutes on 2007 Camry. At least it works with the cheapo Chinese wifi ELM327 adapter I bought. Other apps more useful.

Worked with ELM327 wifi and BMW 328i

Inexpensive ELM327 from Amazon (GoldMice) worked just fine. Reading codes did take several minutes where I could not change screens on my phone. Had to sit and wait.

Easy to use, works great

I just use this on my 2013 Prius five and it was very intuitive and easy to use. I used it on my iPhone 6 Plus. Within a few minutes I had customized quite a few options on the car, including several options I did not know that I had available to me.

Don’t Purchase this or the device. Multiple payment scam.

Zeeek

Found this app/device combo after researching Service Reset options on Audis. I liked that the app and the obd device were from the same company, and would work together, so I didn’t mind paying a little more. I didn’t realize how much though. After purchasing the Pro option, I had to scour the internet to find out you have contact the developer to request the Beta version which ‘unlocks’ the main features. First this is shifty. They are gaming apple. Second I had no response to multiple emails and FB messages until I suggested I’d start discussing my negative experiences online. Now I have the Beta (you have to install it through another app- TestFlight) which only lasts for 30 days. When I ran the test and tried to reset the service warning I’m told I have to pay either seven dollars for a weeks access or forty for a year for that feature. This is after I’ve purchased the overpriced device and paid for the “full” pro version. They also make you pay overtime you unlock the ebrake. I feel duped for having bought into the idea that I’d be treated better with a company offering the whole package. I thought I’d save time and money by avoiding the Dealership, but in this case I’ve wasted both and I’d give my seventy dollars to the dealer crooks rather than these scammers.

I got scammed too

cancel?

I had the same experience as Zeek. I boutght the app and bluetooth module in mid-March 2016. I wanted to tweak just one setting on my car and then use it to reset TPMS when I changed back and forth to snow tires over the winter. I heard that this capability would be available soon, so I agreed to test a beta release soon after I bought the "Pro" version for $20 here. The beta had TPMS, so I figured I was all set. Alas when the beta version expired, my copy of the app no longer worked and Carista/Prizmos wants MORE money on a subscription basis: $7 for a week or $40 for a year. Simple extortion.

Useless without paying $20

You can use this "free" app to scan and it will tell you that yes you have a code on your car but you have to pay $20 for them to reveal the number of the code. There are other apps out there that will tell you the code number and then you can simply Google it. Don't waste your money.

Amazingly easy

Ringneck517

Takes less than 5 min to get the code read and reset. Bought a code reader from Amazon for under $20. Nothing simpler in my life.

It works, but you need to buy!

The free version is good for nothing. You'll have to pay 19.99 USD, it works well.
