A masterpiece in game design

David Umstattd

The closest thing human kind will come to perfection in the video game industry is Cardinal quest 2. This port does the pc game justice. And I originally wrote that years ago before all this wonderful new content

roguelike rpg.

Why?!

AK_Musician

Why would the dev keep updating content in a free game? They must love their game. Why would you not get this great rogue lite? You must not have 100mb on your device or you're hopelessly lost on the App Store. Why did it take me so long to find this game? Apple must not want to showcase it because it doesn't gross enough to qualify for their socio-political money-grabbing needs. I feel like this game speaks for itself. It's one those "always on my device" kind of apps. If you're reading this review, it probably means you already downloaded it and are just checking out what other players think. If you genuinely need an idea of what this game is like, here: Dark setting, quirky plot (not extremely important), lots of items and spells, unique classes, endless build styles, simple gameplay, dice rolls are as unforgiving as you want to make them, great achievement progression, story mode or "endless" mode (there is an end, but I haven't made it there yet). Why are you still reading this? Start playing!

TB ROGUELIKE FANS MUST DOWNLOAD!

Crimson Fists

A little about me: No problems running on iPhone 6. Huge roguelike player, have beaten games like Shiren (Nintendo DS, all dungeons) to Tales of Maj'eyal (Steam, vanilla game). For a free game, this game has shocked me. Graphically it isn't winning awards, but it's deep with lots of classes, skills, items, and build outs (picking A skill prevents picking B skill, etc). I'm on vacation and just sank 3 hours into this game in a blink of an eye. The in-app purchases are not rubbed in your faces, and are merely shortcuts to unlocking classes/starting gear. Everything can be obtained easily by just playing the game (Example: Unlock Thief for 3000 Morale, I accumulated 8000 morale in those three hours). My ONLY gripe, which I am not deducting any stars for, is I wish there were designated arrow keys for movement. Two of my three journeys ended poorly because when tapping my desired movement direction, it went the wrong way. I don't blame the devs as I know if I played more patiently (hard when having fun) I would be fine, as I did in my third journey where I completed Act 1. All in all, I give this game a solid A grade, and would recommend to anyone who's a fan of the genre or wants to try it out, because it's FREE! Addictive, fun and free

Amazing!

?Best game ever!!!!?

Hands down this is one of the best rpg if not the best, I am truly amazed at all that is this game, and hope for more content/updates in the future. Keep up the good work developers!

Great Rouge-like!

This game just keeps on giving. If you want to go on random fantasy adventures, this is the game for you. The updates have been substantial and keep this game fresh, even though I never get sick of it. I find myself coming back to it to get better with each class.

Surprisingly great

This Game was way more addictive than I thought it would be. Tons of fun and the different classes have very different combat approaches. The music is fantastic too.

It's a keeper

Great dungeon delving type rpg and for me a fallback time killer. I played the heck out of it when I first downloaded it about 2 years ago. I keep going back for more after I get sick of other newer games. I was a Rogue player back in the day, so this fills me with nostalgia, but it's got cool music, several of classes with all different skill sets, and the bosses are not impossible to kill (although I have not tried insane difficulty yet). Alchemist is my fav, but he's one of the classes that are quite challenging on hard difficulty. Another is the naked Pugilist. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed. I've deleted a lot of games, but this one's a keeper.
