I'm loving this iOS port of a fantastic game. Local games over Bluetooth/wifi are a bit finicky but other than that, it's perfect.

I don't understand the one-star reviews? Granted, I mostly play against the AI, but have had no problems enjoying the main game and the expansions. I find this is an excellent way to learn the game and develop strategies so I can play against others with the physical board game. Actually though,I kind of enjoy playing the app version every bit as much! No hesitations on recommending this one.

Best Game Available on iPhone

This is an amazing rendition of Carcassonne. It is by far my favorite game available on the iPhone. The game is great, and the implementation is amazing. The AI is worthy, the graphics are fantastic, the interface is nice - everything comes together with this app.

Update suggestion

Carc is my fave game and I think the developers have done a great job. However I have noticed the wait times seem to be getting longer and longer leading me to give up and play a game elsewhere. I was thinking it would be great if the way you join games was completely redone. ... someone sets up a game as you would playing against friends. There could be a list of how many players are online. Then the other players could choose a set game from the list of players waiting for an opponent. I think this would be great also as far as players who block vs no block where the creator of the match can specify block or no intentional blocking. Possibly even a block feature? Nothing more awkward then starting a game only to realize the other player is someone you had a bad experience with.

Great game with frustrating flaw

Gorgeous game, beautiful and smooth implementation. That being said, I don't understand how such development effort went into this game and yet the AI difficulty level is determined by ability to pull the perfect card at the perfect time. Each type of strategy has a risk/reward ratio. When the Wicked player is looking to block (successfully) every turn yet manages to score at the same rate of success something is wrong. This, followed by only a stream of road tiles for you to place, skews the game into a frustrating and hilariously predictable gaming experience. This app is too good for that. Spend time on the AI, please.

I had to delete and reinstall because of crashing and freezing. I reinstall and haven't one a single game in 50+ matches. I also had to start over with my ranking. Only thing I carried over was purchases with restore button. $25 for this? I am an experienced player for years. The Android experience was far more playable. I don't want to win every time...I want a realistic challenge. But when you never get the cards and the computer does and you lose all progress it is a discouraging waste of $25.

Fun game

I like that I can play vs computer (AI) players. As others have noted, the computer players are challenging. But I've noticed that I'm getting better and better at beating them. The app works well, I've played it a lot and no crashes yet.
