I’ve been using Carb Manager for years but no more. The latest update is awful. Terrible user experience. I’m going back to MyFitnessPal. All of my saved recipes are gone. Over 5 years of building recipes and their macros, they are totally gone. And of course there’s no way to contact Support in the app. Two thumbs way down.

I have faithfully tracked my foods daily for the 20 months I’ve been on keto and have credited the premium subscription version of Carb Manager for being able to do so easily. With this new update, however, they have royally screwed up a great product (think New Coke). It is unusable. It is slow, you literally can’t read text because gray text is on colored boxes that obscure it, foods have disappeared and the charts are useless. Unless they put back the original, look elsewhere. That’s what I’m on the App Store for now. It’s not worth it to use the free version, much less a premium subscription.

I’ve been using the app for two months now, fell in love with it at first. Now the newest update keeps crashing, doesn’t look as appealing or as organized, and they changed the all the colors of the items they were tracking. Was happy, now very unimpressed.

I loved the old app and lost weight with it. It was so easy to use and see and keep track of my foods. The update caused all my favorite foods to disappear and it’s much harder to use with a lot of clutter. I really dislike the update. I’ll have to find a new app.. maybe Senza?

Don’t waste your money on these fake reviews!

(Update) sorry guys, the fact that it’s your busy season doesn’t excuse you from not replying for 5 days. Apparently a small group of customers had a glitch in the update and couldn’t access premium. Update your chat to set proper expectations when people do need support!! Despite my extreme frustration about this, it’s an awesome app that’s super easy to use. Highly recommend it, just don’t expect service to respond for days. I have to admit I’ve used this app for several months and like the features. I upgraded and I am currently working to get a refund on the upgrade. It seems like a good app (hence the 2 stars instead of 1) but I upgraded 4 days ago and still don’t have access to what I paid for! I contacted support at the email provided in other complaints/reviews but still no reply even after 4 day! Not acceptable!!! I have no idea how this app is rated 4.8 with this issue. I bet they hired some firm in India to post a bunch of positive reviews. I’m fed up and with so many other apps on the market, don’t waste your time on this app.

Awful upgrade, removed app integration

I’ve been using this religiously to sync with my Fitbit device/app. With the new upgrade (and without warning) I now have to pay for this. I’m now losing all of my historical data. VERY UNHAPPY.

Really don’t like the newest version

I loved the earlier version before this last update. The pie chart made it very easy to check macros at a glance. I really, really don’t like the rings they have now (or the whole new “look” for that matter). I understand wanting to update apps and keep them fresh, but why change the one thing that is most convenient about the app? I even pay for premium but now I’m on the hunt for a new app to switch to. I’ve never written a review before so that should tell you something. I would have given the old version 5 stars.
