Nice start but ...

Very nice start with this app. Able to connect to an A7RII and A9 from iPhone XS and also from an iPad. The app controls current camera functions allowed from app. Did not notice any lag in changing camera settings via the app. The Sony body recognizes the changes immediately. Was able to capture test photos using app. Connection to A9 much more straight forward than A7RII. Did not lose connection to either camera during use of app. Currently tap to focus does not work for neither of my Sony bodies if it is developed into current version of app. Also IAP purchasing does not work. Tried countless times to use IAP purchasing to support further development efforts however it currently does not load. Unable to use options available via IAP. Again very nice start on the app and look forward to seeing future updates!
Won't Stay Connected

Occasionally connects to Sony A7R3, then disconnects, then reconnects, disconnects. Will not stay connected. Disappointing how many apps like this don't work easily or intuitively. Hoping they get it straightened out. One star for good concept.
Has good potential

It was difficult getting my camera connected but eventually I was able to get it connected. The official Sony app is also very buggy and this app works about the same. This app just came out today so not all the features are working but I am hopeful, especially for the time lapse feature. That would be awesome!!

No problems connecting to A7Riii. In-App purchases stuck in “loading” mode for 20 minutes before I gave up. Not an acceptable thing to overlook.

And even if it does, and I’m just doing something wrong, there are no instructions. Don’t have a free afternoon trying to figure it out. Worthless.

Connected pretty well with my a73, features that were available worked great. Touch/hold for focus is working (on my adapted Canon lens). I am impressed. Learned about this app on the David Oastler video. Nicely done!

Simon - Thank you for this remote control app for Sony Alpha Cameras as of Jan 8, 2019. Sony α9 Feedback: Connection drops, have to rescan QR code to reconnect. In-App Features stuck on “Loading”. I too subscribe to David Oastler’s YT channel and while he has not tried on his α9, other α9 shooters from his channel confirmed the same Camrote & α9 issues. Looking forward to upcoming update. Hope this helps...
Fix the file transfer issues.

I paid for the app and really wanted the file transfer to work so I could easily send raw files to my phone for editing but no matter what I do I get an error that says “failed to load schemes”. I’m hoping that since this is new it will be fixed with an update but until then I can’t recommend purchasing it. :(

Connection/transfer issues with my A7r III or my RX100 VA. Would be happy if this app did nothing other than transfer raw files to my iOS devices.
