Great and easy to connect

I recently bought a different app but it just stopped working so I decided to give this one a try. I have not used this to transfer photos to my phone since thats not why I got it but its easy to connect to my sony a7ii. I tried connecting using my mobile hot spot which it kept saying it couldn't(may have more to do with the camera or hotspot than the app) but it did recognize my camera and gave the option to connect to it. Tried that and hasn't given me an issue since. It seems to be a simple app with multiple upgrade options. So far its great!

camrote is a terrific and very smartly-designed app! it extends the functionality of my sony RX100VI in major new ways. timelapse is my specific interest, and camrote lets me shoot sequences easily and smoothly with an intuitive UI and full control of all the sony’s key exposure parameters. and if you combine camrote+smartphone+small external power brick... you can shoot multi-hour multi-thousand frame timelapse sequences that would otherwise be literally impossible with a DSLR or larger-format camera in the field. i’m a pro shooter with many dozens of photo-related apps... and tho i very rarely leave reviews... camrote is invaluable:)
For providing what Sony no longer does

5 stars simply because in January 2019 the functionality to control my A7 on my phone or wrist (Apple watch support coming soon) was dropped by the mighty Sony and developed by a chap in Whales. Best of luck to you sir!

No touch to focus functionality. Hard press of shutter with haptic feedback to take photo. Touch the shutter but doesn’t display focus area. Where do images go? Took a few shots but images were not transferred to iPhone photos or any database.
Unable to connect to camera

I would like to be able to review this app, but after trying to connect manually and via QR code and following instructions to disable WiFi assist, I have not been able to connect my IPhone X to my Sony A7R3! I have rebooted both phone and camera.

Connects. Disconnects. Then won’t connect. I gave up after 15 minutes. Tried all the trouble shooting.
Nice concept but needs work

It took a while to connect my A7R3 after many attempts then functionality was limited and I couldn’t upgrade to any of the really good features like geotags. Gave up after a few hours. Maybe bugs will get worked out an a few months but for now I wouldn’t use it.

Lots of potential but there is still alot of work. In app purchase is not working and I had some trouble with connecting. Looking forward to future updates.
