Great App & Glaring Problem

lightning cube

The app is a great calorie tracker with a really nice database of foods. It does lock some essential functionality behind and incredibly greedy paywall of $8 a month, which is insane for an app. I’m currently looking for another app that doesn’t charge me upfront and then ask for another $100 a year for basic functionality. I get that the dev needs to charge for server maintenance and updates to the app, but anything over a $1 a month is absolute insanity. Edit: Downgrading to 1 star. They locked sugar tracking behind the greed wall. Knowing your daily intake of sugar at a glance is critical for weight loss.

Very Helpful

Takes a few days to get it figured out and organized but smooth sailing after 3 to 5 days!

Lost $3.99 and can’t sync to Fitbit

What a waste of money! The app seems nice but you have to pay $8.99 a month to be able to sync to Fitbit. If you are thinking of purchasing the app for $3.99 and think it will let you sync to Fitbit or any other tracker you are absolutely incorrect! It seems like a nice app but I am not about to pay $8.99 to track with Fitbit. The whole $3.99 was a waste also. Their description is deceiving, be ware before purchasing!!

1 Frustration

myNet Diary

Only one frustration when the actual food doesn’t match up to the bar code scan.....

Carb tracking requires Premium!?!

$60. I used the Pro version of this app on Android for years. Loved it. I recently switched to iOS, so I bought the Pro version again without hesitation. I should have hesitated. They’ve moved carb tracking to the $60 Premium version. Not cool. Don’t waste your money like I did.

Clean Interface

I like how the ap functions ok. There could be more restaurant food listings. But I am frustrated that I can’t log into my account from my tablet. Says email not found. ( They don’t have any trouble charging me for the premium ap tho). And I can’t find a way to get help with the problem. No contact us buttons.

This app makes nutrition fun

UPDATE 2: The latest version is greatly improved. I appreciate to continued work! UPDATE: Various updates have made huge improvements to this App. It’s even easier and faster to log your food and keep track of where you are in your day. The only problem I’ve had is submitting photos to correct the occasionally incorrectly-tallied nutritional values. (The submitting process worked, but for some reason it was rejected.) ***** I first downloaded this app out of curiosity of my daily sodium intake. I didn't change how I ate, I simply (and honestly) tracked it. I was blown away when I found out that I was consuming 3x the recommended amount. And that's without eating obvious culprits, like French fries and potato chips! So I've been choosing lower-sodium foods for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I'm feeling great- I don't feel bloated (I didn't even realize that I was feeling bloated before) and have lost 3 pounds. I'm sure the main reason for my success is that i'm writing everything down that I eat. Also, a lot of the bad-for-me foods happen to be loaded with sodium. MyNetDiary makes it super easy to track what you've eaten, including water intake and calories burned via exercise. When you scan a barcode, you see a "food score" that helps make healthier choices on the fly. I'm even able to create recipes and it calculates the nutrition value for me. The only cons for me are: 1. Caffeine intake for some reason is not tallied. It gives me the option, but it does not work. 2. For some reason, my vitamin A total is always listed as impossibly high. I've done the math, and it's incorrect. 3. The analysis section contains very good information, but is a little hard to understand. They just need to have a copywriter help them figure out how to word things so it makes more sense. Those three things are very minor flaws for me. The good parts of this app far outweigh the bad. I definitely recommend MyNetDiary for anyone that cares about their body.
