Needs year view

Jebandpooky

One feature I personally want added is the ability to view the calendar by the year. That’s only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars.

Look no further if you want a replacement for Fantastical!

My favorite Calendar app for years, still the best. I'm sure I wrote a review long ago and can't find it but this is the best, no contest. Lots of features, best weekly view, customizable, literally everything you could want. I asked them long ago to add an "up next" widget and they did it! As for Fantastical, it's popular but now it's subscription based. C5 is not. Get C5 and you won't regret it. This app is better than Fantastical even without the subscription features. I own both apps and C5 has always been better! Buy it now and support this developer!

Not ad free and not as user friendly as Digical

vyronb

The app is not user friendly when adding a reminder. Also is not as free. Paying this kind of price for an app should make it ad free. Also puts up a series of increasing numbers on the app icon that you cannot get rid of. Better than the iPhone calendar app but this app still needs some cleanup to get a 4 or 5 star rating.

Overdue for an update

This is a awesome calendar and task app, but it could use a few small things to make it amazing. 1) Ability to see multiple lines of text in events and tasks 2) One tap to switch from any view instead of having to tap once to open a toolbar first, then another tap to switch views 3) Ability to display travel time needed to an event from your current location, and get alerts when it’s time to leave based on traffic 4) Location database is outdated. Many locations don’t show up. 5) Print function needs to support Agenda view print outs and include Tasks in the printout. (It only supports Day, Week, or Month and no tasks print) 6) A dark theme 7) Integration with weather forecasts 8) Ability to change the font size and colors in the Monthly and Weekly views 9) A weekly view option where today has a bigger window pane than the other 6 days to display more info due today 10) Multiple sorts for Task view, so you can show all tasks by due date first, then priority second Most of these seem small, but they would take this from a very good app to an amazing one that I couldn’t live without.

Nice enough

I wish this had more color customization options for tasks and events and different sound options for each also.

Unacceptable!

Readdle’s failure to fix the locations issue is unacceptable. Readdle responded to this review by saying they would fix it. We have been waiting for over a year. I don’t believe that they intend to fix it.

The best Phone UI

Skytouch

I generally use Readdle products on both the iPad and iPhone, for their consistently excellent design and usability. Calendars 5 in Week View really stands out on the iPhone; I can quickly scan upcoming appointments on one screen, and add, delete or edit as needed. Nice integration with the built-in iPhone Calendar and other Readdle apps is a plus.

Pretty good

Much better than the built in calendar because you can actually see the event names in monthly view. Original comment: But it doesn’t have the ability to hide the Holiday Calendar that Apple forces all of us to subscribe to. I don’t care about most of those religious holidays. Update: thanks for the tip on how to hide the extra calendars!

Have to sync with a different calendar - pointless

Can’t use it as a stand-alone calendar

Loading and refreshing times are a problem

yatestony

App is frequently unusable for sometimes as long as nearly a minute (of course based on connectivity - I do recognize that - but I’m referring here to instances when connectivity is strong via WiFi and data connectivity) as it refreshes all data at every launch or open. Can’t view anything in detail. Can’t tap anything. Can’t stop the refresh. I’ve tried all setting combos: on or off background refresh does nothing. Additionally, interactions can sometimes be awkward at various touch and tap points leading to unintended views and items moving or shuffling around. These are deal breaker problems. If you are trying to check items on the go and need key info from your calendar quickly, frustration levels are high. Hopping from meeting to meeting and needing room, floor, or time info is critical for me. I’m often stuck having to stand and wait for the app to fully load before I can view any items. I rely on my calendar but cannot rely on this app. It’s a great app when fully loaded! However, these items kill the whole experience and need for a paid calendar app. I’ll have to delete this app and go back to default calendar apps until this is fixed.
