Looks awful, not updated in a year and a half.

Needs auto updating

I just got this app and immediately i am frustrated with the fact that I can't see an event I just added unless i close and reopen the window for the app. Like what the heck. I got this because Sunrise being discontinued has finally caught up with me and now I need to find a decent calendar app to use. If this doesnt work out, I'll pay $3 for Fantastical 2 because I have tried a bunch of other apps including google calendar and am not satisfied. I mean, google calendar doesnt even have a widget for the iphone. Nor does it remond me of events adequately.

Used to be a good app

I've used this app for years with my droid and iPhones because it is easy to use and has a really good look to it. When it works, this app is great but it keeps having more glitches than not. The app doesn't show that I've added or deleted an event until after I close it, and get back into it. It will jump back to today's date for no reason while I'm viewing another date in another month. It also closes by itself and kicks me out.. I wish they would fix the bugs with this app. I don't want to stop using it but it's getting really frustrating.

Few design flaws

Great potential but huge flaws. Calendar interface is somewhat confusing and auto images from tumblr is usually ugly.

Looks great... but looks aren't everything

I love the task management app, Any.do - and was super excited to try this out - as I am not a fan of Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. This software has glitches, it crashes, the sync feature pushes and pulls events from Apple Calendar (which is awesome), but it doesn't work well. Sometimes the events don't sync, sometimes it plops the events at the wrong times. Some times the events don't write within the Cal app either. The app crashes off and on. Hopefully once the above are fixed, this will be a rockin' application.

Please update

I've used the app for so many years and have grown used to it. It however required an update.

Available on Mac

I really want to keep this app however it's chronically crashing and not saving the events I add. It's really frustrating as it will sometimes add the event and when I reopen the app it's not there.

Why no updates?

I love this app, however, the developers haven't updated it since 2015. You have something good here, why abandon it?

Crashing all the time!!!!

MisMeee

I used to love this app. Now I can't even add an event or appointment without it crashing. It's just a pain. Gonna find another calendar app. Hopefully this one would be updated for better use soon.

Once you figure out the bugs...

I miss the Sunrise calendar so much. This one has a long way to go to replace it, but I do like it. Some of the issues others have been reporting have come up with me as well. I saved an event three times without it showing up on my calendar, then gave up and closed the app. I opened it again and the event was there three times. I've since started closing the app every time I add or delete an event, and this seems to resolve the issue. It is annoying to have to do that, though. But I love the features and the interface that greets you when you open the app. I like how it tells you how much free time you'll have between events as well as what your next obligation is. I also like how it only displays the current week, but the month view is easily accessible. Both views are important but most calendar apps force me to make a cumbersome trek between the two. Not Cal, though. If you are patient enough to work with the bugs, I think you'll like this app. If you want a seamless experience and don't let things slide easily, I wouldn't buy it. But I would keep an eye out for when the developers work out all the kinks, because this is the best calendar app design out there.
