Building a house. Perfect for laying out the floor and getting sq footage. Easy to use. Thank you!

The idea of this app is great. Overall it is user friendly. The downside is it's still clunky and is missing some key features (I.e segment arc splice). The scaling feature is horrible; there is no way to scale an imported drawing by 10%,50% etc... Also the app almost forces you to exit and then re-enter as the selected tools freeze from time to time. Over all it's a great concept, but needs an update with more features and polished interface.

I am an Architect and a General Contractor and am constantly on the field and drawing up plans from existing buildings or new work. I have spent a good amount of time experimenting with the free version of this app and could not import my AutoCAD .dwg files till I purchased the Pro version. The app has an easy drawing interface with crosshairs which make it easy to use and generate the line work. However the applications needs lots of improvement. Coming from a strong AutoCAD background, I found myself having trouble editing .dwg files. CAD Touch does not recognize AutoCAD's dynamic blocks features and the object library does not give you the flexibility to manipulate their dimensions accurately as you draw on site. This application shows to have a lot of potential and will definitely be a #1 pick if the following improvements are made: -Improved object library with dynamic features -Stretch command -Ability to connect to a server or NAS for more collaborative workflow. -Slightly more robust layer properties like a layer isolate/unisolate feature button. - Annotation / Symbol library I'm looking forward to seeing this product improve!

I have been using this software for a few days now. Frankly, for an iPad interface its pretty nice. But a couple of things make it a little annoying to use. For example, lets say you are creating a floor plan. It would be great to have a basic square wall template that you can pull in and move the corners to match the room size you are working with. The software has issues with you picking some vertices to move and zooming out to give the move vector. It loses the selected vertices during the zoom. There are other similar selection issues with the tool.

The tutorials are vague for a beginner. If your new to touch screen drawing, look elsewhere. Drawing in the tutorial is clunky. I am sure someone with experience could pick this up easily.
