No thanks

Eudei

The app has what you expect when learning a language: pictures, audio of the phrases, and some user interaction. Nothing amazing. However, the instructions would say "Drag the correct word to the box" and the actual directions is to tap the correct word. Then it asked me to tap the correct word that translates the word in bold, but no words were bolded in the phrase. Small things like that is fine for a free app, but after lesson two, it immediately limited my use of the app unless I paid for it. And why would you put a button that asks me to pay for the premium membership, but not tell me the price up front? I don't want to click anything until that information is provided obviously. So, I did learn some words from this app, but no thanks.

Life time plan

Dr.Lord

Where is Life time plan? ....

Rip off

ArrahDDD

3 lessons in it already prevents you from continuing without a membership rather than let you continue with specific basic lessons.

Improving

ChadCV

I finally feel like this app is going in the right direction after the new improvements, especially the " my vocabulary " section and the quizzes.

Busuu French

I love this app! As someone serious about becoming fluent in French I find this app to offer a lot of what I am looking for. Is it perfect? No, but it has a lot to offer. Pros: Lots of content - this app will take you up through French lvl B2 upper intermediate, which is not completely fluent but it is enough to be functional in a French speaking country. It is broken down into different levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, Travel) with focus on vocabulary, grammar, verb conjunction, and writing. Ever growing vocabulary - the app has a vocabulary list from which you can test yourself. It randomly picks words from your growing list. Interactions with native speakers - your writing assignments are checked by native speakers and they will leave you feedback on what is incorrect. It is extremely helpful when trying to learn. Certificate exams - you can take a certificate exam when moving from each level (A1 to A2 and B1 and B2). Cons: Premium service - this really isn't a con for me as I think $45 a year is a good price but for some it is a deal breaker. Vocabulary repeats - when you do vocabulary quizzes you end up getting repeats of the same words and exercises, which is annoying. It shouldn't repeat words within the same quiz. Grammar - there are splashes of grammar explained throughout each lesson; however, they aren't fleshed out enough in some areas. You're quizzed on things you've never read up on, which can be confusing. Overall, I am really enjoying this app. I went premium and spend a few hours a night learning from it. I hope that they increase to level C1 in the future and that they correct the little annoyances within the lessons/vocabulary quizzes.

Vocabulary trainer no longer works...

AddictedADD

Or I would give it 5 stars... Will it be fixed soon?

Fun to Use

bsharp57

I think the modes of learning they use are very effective. I've been told by a native speaker that the accents are accurate. The feedback is also very helpful from other users.

Vocab trainer

Vocab trainer doesn't work! When will u fix it? We pay the premium membership to take advantage of this kind of feature, it is ridiculous to pay for something that I cant use.

I already know English.

Luxaorta

So, I get the app and begin signing up. I chose Arabic, and click start. Somehow, it's decided I needed to learn English. No big deal, just delete it and start over. Hmm can't seem to delete it. Ok then, just choose Arabic. Wait, only 1 language at a time unless I pay a monthly fee? /uninstall. I'm not asking for the world to be free, and perhaps I'm just missing how to reset my learning language, but it needs to be a clear cut way to reset to another language if you want me to try it and spend money.
