For a beginner as myself, it’s perfect to start and keep going.. Taking notes are also important, for reviewing and practicing.

I’ve tried almost every language app. This one is my favorite!
So far, so good but there is one MAJOR flaw

This is the first language app I’ve ever stuck with and my confidence in only a couple of weeks is definitely growing. I’m also motivated to keep coming back every day to learn more. The biggest flaw which severely needs addressed is the social function of the app. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen people who speak English as a second language correct other users’ exercises and completely butcher it. I can’t think of anything worse than correcting something wrong with another version of wrong and it happens all the time. Word of caution: take the “corrections” you send to the community with a grain of salt because they may not be correct at all.

I’ve been trying to learn Japanese for more than a year now and Busuu has helped me learn so much in just a few days! The exercises are fun and the community is great.
Way better than Duolingo

With Duo I was ok at memorizing nouns but I had no clue what I was saying or why when it came to actually speaking. Why on earth they think the first thing I should learn is how to say that Manuel eats apples, I do not know. The way Busuu teaches makes way more sense, and I have a much better understanding of what I’m saying and why.
