Favorite feature removed

larrymc

The option to play only slam or no trump hands - my favorite feature - was removed in this update. Are these features coming back ?

This app really works and his user friendly.

It's dead

Railharry

Have used BB for years, but now it's dead on my iPad Pro with newest with iOS 11.0.1. "Bridge Engine failed to initialize". You please update the software! You've had months to do it. -Harry Sutton

I first played Bridge every night, while stationed in Korea. 1971-1972, the level of play was, I later discovered, superior to most games or matches found locally. The product is superior to any I have ventured to try. Thanks!

Bridge Baron Review

Carrollki

This was the best bridge game I have ever played but the game has developed such aggravating bugs that I can't play it as often as I would like. The game mysteriously does not open at times. It also shuts down in the middle of games. I use to think it was my router, so I had that checked out. The Fios guy said it was this app, however.

New bugs, not especially improved

Avalon Joe

To begin with, you can't begin! The revised game will not reliably boot up. You press New Game or Load Game and nothing happens. Finally you press Help or Settings and it may boot up the game. Sometimes when East or West is the dealer, instead of the dealer bidding, it shows "???" like I am supposed to bid for the dealer, whose cards I can't even see. In the previous version, when you got a hand you didn't want to play, you could press a "+" or "-" sign and get a new hand. This convenient feature has been taken away. To get a new hand, you now have to go through the steps of loading a new game. When you press Hint, something turns gray, but this is not readily apparent. The Hint was more apparent in the previous version. The game is inconsistent in playing Jacoby Transfers. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. On defense, I generally want my partner to lead the suit I bid unless there is a good reason not to. The old version did NOT do this, and neither does the new one.

Furious when I updated and could not choose certain types of hands such as game hands or slam hands. Not is it simple to just redeal. If I am missing something call or text me. 404-229-2226

Love this App, though latest version has a few glitches in startup that need debugging

Playing it regularly

ECatPlay

Been playing Bridge Baron for a long time, and it gives me a decent game. You do have to get used to it's occasional odd choice of bids, but I've never had a human partner you couldn't say the same thing about. So far as the loading problems others have complained about, with the last update it had problems loading at first, but they went away, and I have been playing for weeks without a problem. (I do restart the iPhone occasionally, and that may have made a difference.)

What a disappointment.........

This new version is especially painful when playing on an iPhone. Whereas hints used to be brightly highlighted, the hint is very dimly highlighted. The Pass button should have a stronger green when lit, making it more definite. The most annoying feature is that if you decide you don't want to play a particular hand and press "skip," you are now sent back to the table and asked to bid a card from opponent's hand -- impossible. In the prior version, one could press "skip" and be moved to the next hand. Now it is necessary to press two buttons to proceed to a new hand: "quick score" then "next". In addition, if "score" is pressed, it merely returns me to bidding of the hand just played.
