Excellent app for stress management
Zensations

This app is probably intuitive for younger people, but initially I was stuck not knowing how to begin the session. After getting tech support, I like the Breathing Zone and highly recommend it as a healthy coping tool for stress. Anytime I feel stress in my body in the form of mental frustration, muscle tension, queasy stomach, tingling or shallow breathing I turn on the app. Using the Breathing Zone calms my body and mind by breathing fully the Vegas nerve and sympathetic system are balanced and I come back into balance or homeostasis.

Really good but...

I’ve been using this app for a week after comparing and test driving a few others. I really appreciate the way you can start at a number of breaths and then the app progressively adjusts to the desired number of breaths. However, it could be better. While I like how you can set your target number of breaths, the app is missing the ability to control how long it takes for you to get to that desired number of breaths. For example, if you’re doing a 20 minute session it would be nice to be able to set to have it slow down over the first 5 minutes... or 10... or whatever your preference is. As it is, I know it goes slower but I have no idea how long it takes, nor is it possible to see how many breaths you’re doing at any particular time, which beings me to... While the session screen is moderately cool with the pulsing orb thing, it’s kind of useless. More helpful would be an option for an easy to see (always on while using the app) display of how much time is left in your current session as well as the current breaths per minute. I’d like to be able to glance briefly at the screen and see how I’m doing and if I’m at my desired breath rate. Another minor complaint is that the app pauses very easily - by just touching the screen - which I’ve unintentionally done many times while in a session. A more deliberately styled pause button would be better. Not a bad app but these adjustments would make the app perfect for me and one that I would use much more personally and be able to recommend much more highly to others.

Good breathing app , though a tad wonky

I like this app because it does what it says. It helps you to regulate your breathing. A soothing voice can guide you if wanted; and there are several varieties of breathing speeds. It can work with the health information on your iPhone if you like. What's even better is that there's no push for you to have memberships or join clubs. The only negative thing is that the sometimes the breathing speed becomes irregular.

Best breathing app

I probably downloaded 4 other apps before paying for this one. While I wish it was less expensive, it’s the most customizable app I’ve found. I love that I can play this track over my meditation music. Breathing like this is the best thing I’ve found for managing my anxiety, and was recommended to me by a Ph.D in counseling. I do it almost daily!

Love this app

When I use this app everyday I find I have more energy and I am more relaxed. I have found my breathing has gotten deeper and stronger the more I use it. I like to use the ocean waves, equal breath in and out, no guide voice for 10-15 minutes.

Love it!

Been using the app for years and it just gets better. Beautiful UI and very easy to use. One thing..... the app title is too long under the icon. Just doesn’t look right.

Fairly good

Simpler than most meditation apps, which is good. Too many try to do too much and get bloated and difficult to use. I wish I could enable a time countdown on the display.
