Bravo Gustavo is free iOS app published by LA Phil

I think orchestras should all adapt tech-based marketing methods to compete in 21st century. However, this app is a complete failure, from concept to implementation. That is why it has zero staying power with the public. After massive media hype, the daily download number sank from the iTunes' browse-able list in just 2 weeks of launch (shocking, considering it being free and received wide exposure). This is because 1) not as many users as the app creator anticipates are interested in this and 2) users are simply not recommending it to their friends! While I applaud LA Phil's initialtive, the end result missed a great opportunity. They should have done a much better job in creative research and planning, from what kind of concept would really work to which developer would really do a good job. This app bears all the signs of "out sourcing" creativity to a third party by their administrators, no oringinality, and low quality!

With me being a classical musician, I thought this app would be fun and somewhat helpful, but it's a pain & rediculously hard to use.

Simple, well designed app. Plus my kids LOVE it. Looking forward to more music choices.

Quite lame as an app. The action is jerky and the motion sense is in only one direction. I give it even a single star only because it's Dudamel conducting Berlioz! Try to do better next time, please, LA Phil!
