At least it sounded good on paper...

Would be nice if they had a way of telling you when to wave the "stick". As it is, the best an amateur can do is make a while cacophony of noise. Good idea, bad execution.

Nice Simple App

I don't understand some of the negative reviews. This is a well done, simple, free app that allows you to experience (if only for a brief moment) what it feels like to conduct an orchestra. It is meant to be fun, not to be taken too seriously. There are no prompts to tell you when to wave the iPhone - the whole point is that you have the freedom to orchestrate the music as you so desire - good or bad.

A small iPhone miracle.

Still fun to play

I downloaded the updated version to see if there was anything different, I assume there might be bug fixes. But since I didn't really write a review before, I guess I will now. A fun app that you don't really need to learn much before playing it. It really gets little kids excited also, they love swinging the iPhone around, no matter if the music sounds like it should or not. Fun, and its free!

Wow

Haven't had this much fun on a app in 2 years

Great Idea, But Should Also Include the Online Game

hartwicke

This is a cute idea, but not really a game (you "conduct" a piece by tapping the screen or waving the phone). The LA Phil has an online game that is very much like Guitar Hero that I find much more entertaining and challenging. Granted, it's less conductor-like, but I think it's more fun to play -- and if they added more pieces, they could very well have their own Classical Hero on their hands. Anyway, the phone app is cute, but the novelty wears off very quickly. Wish the online game were included here.
