Must have receipt

RR0123

I love that we can take out the tedious part of cutting the box tops, but you must have your receipt in order to now get credit. I don’t tend to keep my receipts - who does anymore? It’s too much paper. This is unfortunate, since these new boxes don’t have clipable codes AND I can’t get credit since I throw out my receipts.

Need to support more than 1 school

Need to be able to support more than 1 school for families with multiple children in different schools

Lose lose for the school

I downloaded the app and I see I need to purchase 2 of the same item to receive 5 points. What’s up with that? The old clip tops were worth 10 for that same 1 item. I also don’t like the fact I have to scan my receipts. I think this is a way for BTFE to back off their school giving and nothing about making it easier for the school or consumers that would like to help out. I also noticed that my school has only received 70 cents so far. Really!! BTFE also doesn’t need my personal info. I will not be looking to purchase items with Box Tops on them until the go back to the old method.

Can’t even sign up!

I see that many people are having problems submitting receipts. I’m having problems just creating an account. Now it won’t even let me create an account because it now says my email is already signed up. But when I try to login with info that I tried to sign up with, the login fails and says to check my email/password. Tried to reset password but it won’t recognize my email and send me a reset link. Tried to contact customer service, but it won’t even submit their customer response form. Which is now why I am writing this review for this app(the first I have ever bothered to write) because this is more trouble than it’s worth! School’s are going to be the real losers in this because I see I’m not the only one having problems with this app and I don’t have time for this nonsense. It’s much easier & faster just to cut the box top out in the first place instead of jamming up my phone with yet another app. And I agree with some of the other reviewers with the fact that it was fun to have the kids involved in collecting the tops and getting prizes at school. I’m not going to keep going through this foolishness if they can’t get this together.

Bring back box top clipping

My daughter gets so excited cutting box tops! At her school they print sheets of paper that we glue or tape them onto so it is easy to send in. She loved doing that. This feels like an invasion of our privacy hidden under the agenda that it is more convenient. Pain to scan my long receipt. I’ve read other comments too and many say the same thing. And what about people who don’t have smart phones?! Just forget them right?? This is a bad change that I feel forced into because I would like to donate to the school as much as possible.

Bad Idea

I am a grandmother that has faithfully collected BTFE since before my grandchildren were in schools that collected them. Collecting them through various organization where the organization gets recognition for collecting them. These are National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, and various Senior Centers. I actually downloaded the app, then read your privacy statement and decided to delete the app and discontinue collecting BTFEs. Whereas before my privacy was secure, with the app you are collecting and sharing information that isn’t any of your business. In addition it takes the children out of the picture for not only school contests, but the ability to share in the pride of giving. I am strongly hoping you reconsider this process in favor of the old way. It was also much easier for the collectors. Sign me, Old Ways Better

Not a good idea

The kids don’t get to help in finding the box tops and if you have more than one kid you can’t split the box tops up any more. I am a coordinator and I don’t see parents taking that extra step to get their phone out to scan a receipt. It is an extra hassle to their already busy life. The kids were the ones that were having fun keeping an eye out for the box tops and helping the parents collect and now they have no part. Also, this takes the competition factor out. We can no longer have competitions to help bring in more box tops. Not to mention the people that don’t have a smart phone to scan the receipt.

Not all receipts work

This is a great idea. But I had a receipt the other day that didn’t count. When I scanned my receipt it said that it couldn’t process. There were two double box tops on the items. The receipt printer at the store (Walmart) was running out of ink causing the receipt to be too light to pick up on the photograph submitted. I sent in a request for BoxTops to take a look at it—-still waiting. Pretty sure my school has missed out on that $0.40. ?

Only scan receipts

juliezamb

I just got this app and am going to delete it. I didn’t realize you could only scan receipts. I don’t save every receipt every time I shop, especially when it’s groceries. I just used a box of Annie’s mac&cheese and have no idea what receipt I would need to find for the box top for it. This is a ridiculous idea.

So easy to use

Lenorabell

Such an easy way to earn money for your school without using a lot of effort. Just scan your receipts and it will calculate your earned box tops and add them to your schools account. No clipping and saving required!!
