Useless for Pandora & Apple Music

There are quite a few bugs in the latest big update. I know those will eventually get fixed, but until you support Pandora & Apple Music, this app is quite useless for me. I’ve read about DRM and understand that Apple is not cooperating, but what about Pandora?

I have had the unique pleasure of using this app through its many incarnations and though I was initially a little disappointed when it was no longer truly “free” it has been completely WORTH the investment for all the continuous improvements and the commitment their developers demonstrate to their consumers. Thanks for the last five plus years and I hope you and I keep on boomin for many more to come!

The latest "update" completely destroyed the app. You can no longer search for something specific within Spotify. MANY genres of music are completely missing and where you can search, black characters on an almost black background don't allow you to read what you're typing. THAT design choice ought to get the moron in charge FIRED! Save yourself and don't give them a cent!

Edit - 12/11/2019 Was a great app but can no longer apply effects to Apple Music songs. So what’s the point? Uninstalling..., -end edit- I’ve been using Boom for more than a year and wanted to finally write a review. And that review is pretty simple: Boom is great! Ever since the the developers added the ability to create your own equalizer settings this app is for me a 100% must-have on my iPhone. Boom makes even the freebie apple headphones sound good and it makes good headphones sound great. The pre-created eq settings that are supplied by default are not particularly good, but still better than no eq control at all. But once you start dialing up your own settings the awesomeness of Boom really shines. You can set up multiple custom eq settings and apply each setting when you change to a new song just by pressing on it. I usually have four or five custom eqs named for the different bands I listen to. So I’ll name one eq setting kol for kings of Leon and another setting br for Bad Religion etc. Each setting tweaks the specific band’s sound differently allowing me great control over the the music. There are other settings you can change as well such as the intensity of the eq change. There also an option for a sort of pseudo-surround sound effect which I don’t like at all. And the beauty is that I can just turn it off! There are other capabilities that Boom offers: custom playlists, libraries, repeat and shuffle, different headphone selection options and so forth. All of those are nice but for me the main thing is the great custom eq. The only problem I have has is an occasional lock up with the app that forces me to restart my iPhone to get it running again. But that problem occurs very rarely so I don’t even consider it a problem really since every app crashes occasionally. So if you are into good sounding music and enjoy tweaking your eqs I can’t recommend Boom highly enough.

Subscription doesnt work

I just paid for the subscription but the effects are still locked. It keeps wanting me to subscribe again. When I tap the subscribe button, a pop up apple message says: “You are currently subscribed to this”, and it even lets me manage the subscription. But then when I press ‘OK’ instead of ‘manage’, I get another pop up message that says “Purchase did not go through due to an unknown error”.
