I’m used to various streaming apps (Sonos, Yamaha, Kef) and overall the BluOS app functions nicely. Admittedly the Sonos app is a smidge more polished (in app Spotify music selection), but for a prosumer hi-res experience, it doesn’t get much cleaner and easier to use.

The interface is horrible. Compared with Roon or native streaming services like Amazon Music or Tidal it’s clunky. Too many paths to remember and to easy to make poor configuration choices. It was not the only game in town for a Bluesound device I’d can it. Also it (or the device) drops regularly mid-track too. Come on NAD. You can make some fine hardware audio amplifiers and steamers. Get some professional application developers and network guys working on this end of the business. Could be world beaters.

Nothing but frustrations. App stopped working reliably soon after it was installed. Searches take forever and frequently don’t return any results unless they are repeated several times. BluOS has been unable to fix the problems that have rendered my BluNode all but useless. Pathetic

Don’t bother with tech support. They are useless and will be of ZERO help. The moment I have the funds I will upgrade to a different music streaming service and box.

Seems like every time I turn on blue iOS says player crashes and it’s it says that every time and I have two of the blue OS is in my house I think you should update your software or do something so that’s more responsive it doesn’t crash as much I’ll …

I downloaded hundreds of CDs to Plex and they indexed great and show all songs on the album in Plex. However, when I used BluOS Settings -> Music Library -> Reindex music collection, tracks 1-2 are missing in ALL albums in BluOS. This is clearly a bug. Please fix it.

Searching is completely useless, accidental touching a song skips the queue starts playing the song now, then takes you to the end of the queue and stops playing. So many things just fundamentally wrong with basic usability…I could go on and on.

Overall the app is responsive and well laid out. But it has one major omission that makes it unacceptable: you can't play a playlist in shuffle mode. Oh, there a "shuffle" button. But it only shuffles the 100 or so tracks that Bluos has decided to put into your "queue". My #1 way to listen to Tidal is to have the player randomly select songs from the 6,000 track playlist I have assembled over the years. I just dropped nearly two grand to get a top of the line streaming device only to find out it is missing a very core function. Very disappointed.

Setting up groups is an ordeal. Trying to set up additional groups that only use one of the speakers appears to be impossible. But I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the audio quality is excellent.

The soundbar has amazing sound, but the software / App is as bad as the sound is good. It is torture getting music and TV audio to play. There is no remote, so it is a constant battle getting something to connect to control volume. Don’t buy it. This bar just leads to heartbreak when you know how good it can be from the few moments in life it works. Dear pulse audio team hire some software developers, good ones, with automated testing and your devices in their homes.
