I was able to diagnose two engine sensor problems and a malfunctioning idle air control valve. I also found a defective impact sensor which has caused the air bag light to be lit for months. This all was accomplished without a trip to the dealer.

I had the check engine light on my Colorado Diesel and gave the code to the dealer and it turned out it’s a common problem with winter fuel and the computer calibration, nothing can be done until GM update the computer but at least I knew the dealer was misinformed when they said it’s something simple. I then helped my friend replaced the CAT converter and knock sensor on her 2003 Accord after finding the code using the sensor and ended up saving her thousands!

The BlueDriver unit itself is an amazing device. It’s small and discreet, and the blue light only flashes when connecting/scanning. Otherwise, the light is off when just looking at live pids or while driving. The app could use a little work. The scanning feature is really nice as it’s able to scan more than just one computer, but also multiple network computers on the vehicle (transmission, and, airbag, etc). I gave one less star because after selecting all the pids I wish to view on live viewer, when trying to scroll and view the live information, they easily go into a wiggle mode (much like the iOS setup to move apps) just by touching them, so when trying to scroll up or down, they sometimes move the one pid instead of the page scrolling. Otherwise, very well built app.

I love having a peace of mind especially when someone or a relative ask me to scan their vehicle and I’m just like “ok” knowing that Bluedriver will find the problem right away!!!

I'm am an automotive service technician who just recently came across this app. The app works great and it's surprisingly fast. I've used it at work and for my own personal use. I like the idea of being able to email the data to myself or a client. I like the app and for what it cost you can't beat it. The app continues to get better and the support is parallel to none.

Was looking forward to the suggested causes. Only gives meaning of codes. Same thing any cheap scanner will do. While I appreciate your response, the VIN was input. It gave me year, make and model in your program. It did not suggest any possible causes as stated in your advertisement.

I used it to diagnose problems on an F150, Mini Cooper, VW, Mitsubishi & Subaru. I was able to identify and then fix all those trouble codes. Worth every penny.
