I’m conflicted when it comes to this app for a couple reason. The main issue I have with this app is the inability to change the maximum/minimum distance. Let’s be real here, no one is looking for people that are 250+ miles away. I see people who are 500 miles away more than I do people that are less than 200. It’s ridiculous & makes the app unbearable/impractical for users to actually use & enjoy like other dating apps offered this day in age. Another thing would be the lack of a verification process. That in itself would be an amazing contribution to the app. Otherwise you’re endlessly swiping no on potential matches because of their location being 500 miles away or them potentially being a catfish. Other than what the app itself lacks it’s not a completely terrible app.

Let me start by saying I like the app overall. However, it has some issues, technical problems if you will. Without my consent it logs me out and restarted my whole profile hence why i had to delete then come back to it. Which i have to do every other day. It's very annoying and time consuming. I've done that more than I've actually swiped for matches. Lol but overall it is a good outlet app for young black folk like myself to meet in a safe and chill way.

So I don’t like how you can’t see where the person is from on the main page with your profile pic. Unless I’m using it wrong... it does show how many miles away they are but I do not like how I cannot filter out where they are coming from. Because some are MILES AWAY. Like I do not want a long distance relationship and it’s more work on the person (consumer) to find out. Also I do not like how our profile is just pictures and you have to press the “i” to find out more information. I wish it was on the main page instead of me having to press additional buttons. So I can read and view pictures at the same time instead of just solely base my potential person on what they look like. That’s it for now but this app has so much potential. I hope BLK keeps updating.

Before I subscribed, I was getting a lot of new faces. As soon as I paid the fee, faces started to recycle. They would be in the “deck” AND in my likes. That’s was frustrating. I would dislike them over and over again. Also there is no way to just select people in your area. I kept getting 100-600!! mile away matches. What a bummer! I canceled after less than 2 weeks.

I disabled my profile because I thought I found someone really sweet but it didn’t work out & now I’m ready to get back on the app but it won’t allow me to reactive my account. I can’t even make a new account. This is extremely inconvenient considering this is the only app where I can see more of my preference. Would not recommend.

The idea behind this app is great, but there needs to be some fine tuning. The fact that you are shown people who are hundreds or miles away is terrible. That doesn’t help to bring people together. It’s also a turn off the way that the photos pop up on the screen. I have a brand new iPhone and the photos look as if I have still have a flip phone. And the notifications take a while to actually load up. For example when I received a new message it didn’t show up in the messages until I actually opened that specific conversation. So I have to open every conversation just to se if they replied instead of the app updating itself. If these things could be fixed then the app would be fine.

Good app but everyone mad for from me and there no way to change that you need to add filter where you can pick how close you want you potential matches to be like I get people that are 80 miles away and stuff that’s not fair and not realistic
