Blinkist is a great idea that has great content, but my app locks up several times a session when I highlight. I have submitted a support ticket three different times over several weeks since I purchased the app, and I have received no response. Nonexistent support.

To another one star review was that you didn’t have to subscribe to get one free article ( or listen?) per day. I didn’t see that available on the site without subscribing.

This is very very confusing to manage several books. Very complicated to know what has been read. What is in progress . What is downloaded. Yes the information may be there but it is not intuitive and color scheme has poor contrast , it is not easy visually to differentiate progress etc . I am considering looking at another similar service if the app is better developed

I downloaded the app and 6 days later they charged me for a full year in a lump sum. Now, they won’t allow me to cancel my subscription. Please be mindful of you download the app for the “free trial” they will charge you for the full year before the trial is up.

Edit: also, the people they have summarizing the books have a problem with keeping their own personal opinions out of the summary, which begs the question as to what else they might be adding or removing to these. I’ve changed my review to 1 star due to this because I’d really rather just read the actual book and know the author’s actual thoughts than be preached to by a second-hand source. I decided to try this since I’ve been hearing about it everywhere right now. Unfortunately, I don’t have the money for a subscription right now so I’ll have to make due with the one free that’s unlocked daily. The only problem I have is that if you add the daily free blink to your library under a free account there’s no way to delete it the next day because it goes back to being just another premium locked into your library. This makes it really hard to want to stay with this service if you can’t remove things after a lapsed payment since these short form “blinks” could really start to clutter up after awhile. Having a delete option, even if the blink is currently locked due to no being a subscriber, would be a nice improvement. Without it, I’m not actually sure I will continue using this, or even suggest that others use this service.

Disappointed - beware everything on the app, with exception of a single article, costs more money to buy. I hate “bait &switch” marketing tactics - Blinklist is a “bait & switch” app.

I am currently using the free version of this app, and am thoroughly enjoying it! This is really awesome! One of these days, I'll save up some extra money and get the yearly subscription. But until then, the free version works super well!! Thank you to the people behind this app! It's my new favorite app!!

Instantly you will find they want $70+ per year to actually let you see what they promised when you download the app. Evergreen subscriptions are brutal on our wallets!?

This is one of the best apps I have ever had! Thank you so much for making this content available! As a dyslexic this if the first time this information has been easily available!

I was immediately turned off by the billing structure. A week trial and then forcing you to pay a year up front makes me think this app makes money by scamming people who forget to cancel their trial than on the actual quality of the content. Just google book summaries for free.
