Ok gotta be honest. This runs slower than great aunts dog, who is the dog version of Hellen Keller. (She is blind, deaf, and has 2 legs.) The documents won't open. This thing can't load. Blackboard: FIX YOUR ?! Before you waste money buying this- be cautious.
A Hinderance To Education

First off, this app acts like it runs iOS 5 or lower which is awful for one. Nothing loads. Nothing works. The app will literally just sit and spin for days upon days if it could. The UI is very underdeveloped and is too large and bulky. Color scheme is a major eye sore. Blackboard is a failed attempt at the success of Google Classroom which works much better than this trash does. PLUS! IT'S FREE AND BACKS EVERYTHING UP IN GOOGLE DRIVE + DOCS! Blackboard does NONE of that. There is a $1.99 USD fee as soon as you enter the app and if you don't pay for it, the app is literally a waste of space because it does absolutely nothing else. You cannot do any work within Blackboard without encountering some sort of strange lag or load issue which will inevitably cause late assignments for those who procrastinate or work up until the last minute. As mentioned earlier, the color scheme is bleak and the developers of this app must be some very depressed people. If you want to view a certain file or folder within Blackboard, have fun tapping on things for the next 10 minutes because there is absolutely NO DIRECTION in this app. It's attempt at simplicity was an utter failure and only made the app much more complicated. When you finally get to the one thing you want, all the app does is give you a gray old iOS loading icon and white screen. If you're lucky. Most of the time the app won't even load or it'll freeze up and, occasionally, to view the file or folder, you have to tap on it once, back out of it and tap on it again for it to load. Please don't download this app and PLEASE REFUND US OUR MONEY WE SPENT ON YOUR GOD AWFUL APP. 0/10.
Decent but needs improvement

It has a lot of potential, and much of what is on the online version is available within the app. However the layout is very poor, discussions for example seems like a never ending tap fest just to get to posts, a multi-column nightmare to say the least. I think if the layout were improved and everything optimized for a mobile screen (be it iPhone or iPad Pro) then I would give this app 5 stars; heck I would've even paid for it if only the layout was easier and more mobile friendly.

The app has great potential. A simple way to access an olde website so you can get access to all the essential files that you professors upload to blackboard that won't load properly through a mobile browser, however, this would only be the case if it actually worked and could load anything that was in the courses. It seems that something really isn't working right. Load times are horrendously slow, that's if it even decide to load at all. About the only thing that works is the status notifications, they seem to pop up the moment that something is loaded into the course, but other than that it's just a failed app if you can't even access the coarse materials. Fix this quickly blackboard, many students would greatly appreciate being able to use your service in a productive way on their mobile devices.

This app is a waist of space and time. It logs you out every time you close out, without the option to save your log in information. Not only did it log me out, I can't even get back in! It won't take my student ID or password! They should have the fingerprint ID to get into the app.
Should be free for College students

Blackboard is use by many students in colleges everywhere. With such high prices for tuition and textbooks, An app like this should be free for their use, and should work perfectly for them, allowing them to do whatever they have to do for there course or courses.
iPad support is horrendous

It will pull up courses on my iPhone just fine but will not allow my iPad to see the courses in a mobile view. Instead it opens an in-app browser that takes me to the regular course web site. Please fix this immediately!!
