***Game Rules***
This game is played on an 8x8 board with 64 identical pieces. Two players take turns to play. The player's goal is to turn the opponent's disks into himself. The player with the most pieces on the board at the end of the game wins.
Computer moves are very fast. It would be nice to see them indicated and then played (flash the played piece or something). It would also be nice to have different levels of computer opponent (e.g., easy, normal, hard). While we're at it, how about different board sizes? And different board/piece graphic options? I suppose it's a good simulation, since it reminds me how much of a pain this game is: more obnoxious than checkers. Lastly, the type for the menu -- Times Roman? REALLY? ;-)
It worked for for the first night, then today it crashes regularly. Computer moves are very fast--grateful there is undo button.
When I play it there's always something wrong with it. Ether it crashes or makes two moves or it just cheats. The only reason I put two stars is because I love the game othello.
What was a simple and quick game has become slow and ponderous. Waiting for the game to move the computer's pieces in slow motion is pure agony.
the game let the computer go five times in a row, so by the time i finally got to play, the board was completely full of the other color.
