Cart resets too quickly

While the app keeps getting improved, it is still slow and not always easy to navigate. The biggest problem is that the cart gets reset too quickly. If I put several things in the cart, get distracted for 10 min, I come back to an empty cart. It would be really great if it could remember what was in the cart so that I could add things over an hour or two, and not have to start over again each time.

The payment methods are not allowing for choices. When I select PayPal, it just processes- not allowing me to select which card. Apple Pay rarely works.


In store scanner doesn’t work and eats your phone battery

There’s no point to getting this app, it eats your phones battery and doesn’t even scan barcodes in the express mobile pay. iPhone 11.

What I like and what I wish for:

~I like that I can pick a category and add items to the list in this way. I only shop at one BJs so it is easy to visualize where the items will be. ~Very convenient to not have to clip coupons. ~I also appreciate the “extra” manufacturer’s coupon being added. I do not get a print paper anymore and miss out on the manufacturer coupons every week. ~Don’t know if this is one of the things that may be offered to me when I renew membership in August but I would love you to add the ability to scan for membership from my iPhone eliminating the card altogether would be phenomenal! ~The other thing I would like is the ability to link my CC to the payment process; similar to an online purchase. I realize this would probably mean changing the software in your scanning devices but may be beneficial for your business in the long run. ~Thanks for the opportunity to review the app. 01/10/2022: two things: love that apple pay is available and all the coupons that are clipped are automatically scanned and deducted. But I am frustrated with the “express” service that allows me to scan as I shop and pay without having to go through a register. I find the functionality of this express service is not very express; Not when I have scanned all my items, paid for them received a QRS code to show the employee at the door and they in turn scan the QRS code and then proceed to rescan every item in my cart before I can leave the store…again. Does BJs thinks its members are walking out with unpaid merchandise? If I am scanning and checking out and my phone is showing a QRS code and a receipt that indicates how many items I purchased, why is the employee scanning the code and then searching and scanning my cart for the same items I already scanned? This is not express…this is irritating and frustrating. The first time it happened I thought staff was maybe unfamiliar with the process. But no. This time I tried with 7 items and the same thing happened. Honestly it is faster for me to go thru the self pay register to obtain a receipt rather than scan as I shop. I cannot imagine how long it would take to rescan the max amount of 20 items. There has to be a more expedient way for this app to work. I would suggest to shoppers who have more than one or two items in their cart to save themselves some aggravation and time by simply using the self check out get the receipt and be on your way. It is much quicker. Thanks for the opportunity to review the app.

This app works so slow took me hours to build my order . Also if would be nice to be able to order more than 40 items If it kept track of the order with ease I’d give it a 4 or 5 Please make it easier


Fine, but…

—I have been unable to pay via ApplePay for well over a year. Nice big button—I go through the process—payment not completed. There’s no explanation either. It spoils an otherwise excellent shopping experience.
