Bitsboard is an extremely easy to use app that saves tons of time in my role as a busy Speech-Language Pathologist in early intervention. Yes as one reviewer mentioned there are occasional bugs, but overall it's terrific. It has continually improved. The variety of games makes it a great teaching/intervention tool and a great assessment tool.
Please fix the problem with catalog access

PLEASE fix the network error that prevents access to the catalog. We have several staff in our program who use the app to teach vocabulary and progress monitor. Some staff received new iPads and need to download their boards again.
I used to love this app.... now I’m telling you don’t download it.

I used to love this app and use it daily in my work as a speech therapist. I gave a presentation to my colleagues and encouraged them to use it too. I made my own boards and shared them with parents, teachers, and other speech therapists. I was the biggest cheerleader for this app, even through the glitches. Now I can’t log into my user account and thus can’t access any of my boards. I can’t even search the catalogue as a guest user and download them. This app doesn’t work anymore. I’ve used the chat function to try to problem solve repeatedly without anyone ever answering. It doesn’t work. Don’t download it and certainly don’t pay $20 like I did. I would be cautious to download another app by the same developer I lost a LOT of work when they decided to abandon this app without warning. If anyone answers my chat questions, I’d be willing to adjust this review, but until then, stay away from this app.

Update: sadly this app may have been abandoned by the developer. I no longer have access to the catalogue, nor do my students. I have tried to contact the support just to know that they are aware of the problem but have received no reply. I have used this app for years and am willing to pay more to keep it alive as would many teachers. I will not change my rating yet since they may be working on the problem, but I truly hope the developer has not abandoned this app. Previous review: I have been using this app since my first iPad2! That should say it all. The app was and is so useful for educators. Bitsboard is the perfect tool to make a sentence builder for young students who want to move beyond learning vocabulary to making sentences. If you are teaching English to very young learners it is much more engaging then plain flash cards. I also like how I can scale up the difficulty of the vocabulary challenges as per each classes ability while staying on the same vocabulary set. The classroom system is really good and provides a clear and necessary reason for any educator to get the pro version. The app is updated regularly which shows the developers care and their response to any of my queries have been prompt. I simple have no complaints. I only wish they had a Player vs Player mode like the app Tiny Stars. That really motivated kids to practice at home so they could win the challenges in class.

BITSBOARD is ALWAYS my "go to" app. I could always depend on it. Might help to take some time to read the user guide. I still need to do that. But an excellent source for therapeutic ideas.

I use this app in speech therapy with clients that are preschool age through high school. The images are beautiful and target specific vocabulary with out background distractions. I love that I am able to generate lessons specific to each client.

I learned about this app at a assisted technology class recently. There is so much and the possibilities are endless. You can differentiate for each student with this app.
