The ride was fine, but the app said it would charge me $1.45, even though I’ve been reading on the scooters that the first ride is $1.00 to go anywhere. PLUS, $1.45 for just over 2 blocks???!!! Way too expensive. Plus, the app always fails when my girlfriend tries to ride one. And it failed me 1 out of 2 attempts.

The battery was running low pretty quickly and it seems if you are over 150lbs it goes slower

Quick message to all of the municipalities that are considering whether Bird should be allowed in their cities: Bird has allowed me to use LA’s public transit options when I never would have considered doing so before. It’s breathed new life into a transit system that is largely ignored due to first mile/last mile issues and has made taking the train/bus a joy, not an impossibility. One suggestion for Bird might be to look into commissioning a study to determine the effects Bird has had on public transit usage. Love this app!!!!

Uninstalling this crap app. Takes entirely too long to update locations is scooters. By the time you get to the scooter it will be gone but showing you’re right by it. And false charges accumulate quickly. I see a lot of people hiding these in their homes like they’re poor or something.

So there is a standby mode for going into a store and coming back out keeping the scooter from being taken by someone else. After bringing the scooter back online I can’t ever seem to get it to activate the throttle properly ... sometimes I’ve gotten a message instructing me to tap the power button twice I bring it out of a sleep mode... anyway the best plan of action seems to be to restart the entire ride... other then that I really enjoy having the option to hope on and go fairly fast too. The older models seem to have more pickup then the newer ones. Anyway thanks for blessing San Diego
