I'd heard people had trouble with the original version of this app, but it's working great for me, even over a hotel network (although I had to be patient and wait for an audio to download while I was in the shower.) This only works for audios you've purchased via the Big Finish website -- including CDs, since most CD orders include a digital version -- but this way you don't have to fight with iTunes or some other third party software to get Big Finish audio onto your phone/tablet. Sorting, searching, filtering have been heavily revamped. Use the filter button to sort ranges, or search for a companion's actor to zero in on the particular audios you want, then download those onto your device. The controls for fast forward/rewind are easier to use than iTunes. Once you're listening to an audio, click the speed button to zip ahead or toggle the menu to jump ahead 5 or 10 minutes or to the next track or episode.

This is lightyears better than the previous version. Downloads seems to be faster, multiple filters (including story ranges, purchase and release dates, and titles), easier to navigate. If you like Big Finish, this is a must have.

A great app and much more convenient and reliable than the cobbled-together setup I was using previously. The only thing that keeps it from perfection is that I've yet to intuit a way to remove an audiobook from my iPhone once I'm done listening to it.

I am so glad I came across this app. Trying to play Big Finish audios had become so tedious that I had all but stopped listening to them. The app looks and sounds excellent and I love that it remembers your place in the episode. I have come across one problem; if something interrupts the download (i.e. the wifi goes out, or you accidentally turn the app completely off) you cannot re-download that episode later. If this problem is addressed, I would wholeheartedly give it five stars.

I don't know how to rate the app because it doesn't work. At all. My audios will download but none of them will actually play. Contacted Big Finish about it days ago and no response. I love their audios but what good is an app that won't work and I can't get any technical help with when I need it?

Excellent Idea

I am writing this review shortly after the app became available. The overall app design and execution is excellent. It's still a bit buggy in its early incarnation. For example downloading sometimes doesn't work. I'm sure after a few more releases this will be an excellent app.
