I really wanted to like this game. I've loved the Bejeweled games for years. But this is NOT Bejeweled, it's "Moneybags". It is virtually impossible to advance past level 40 or so without the various extras, like flame swappers, hammers, etc. These cost money, especially if you want them right away. If you run out of moves and think you're close enough to win with a few more moves (spoiler alert-- Think Again!), it cost nearly $1 to get 5 extra moves. In addition, the game has a lot of complicating factors, like charms, constellations, floating jewels, columns that shift after each move, and maybe the worst, butterflies that appear from nowhere and must be "stopped" before they escape. None of this is explained very well, and the "hints" flash across the screen so fast I have trouble reading them. Verdict? Too complicated, too expensive, and not as much fun as the previous iterations of Bejeweled.

Nice update to Bejeweled. Like the fact that you can create specials. BUT OH MY GOODNESS, who thought having cats meow music would make good background noise!! Seriously annoying. Sure, you can opt to turn it off, but I like having background. Please give a non-cat option or allow me to play my music through the app. Also meet to be able to turn off the "Hint" feature that activates after 5 seconds and then bounces around there after. I like to study and plan the board.

It's a fun game but say goodbye to your battery for the rest of the day. Also, if I turn off the in-game music, I expect it to be silent except for the sound effects. But there's this eerie background humming that continues to drone on and on and it's very unnerving.

Those who have played match 3 games will quickly understand this game. Has a few twists to make it more interesting, and there can be a bit of luck involved. Skill and planning are still important. You do earn hearts back over time and as you collect special gems you can create power ups. I wish there was a landscape mode for iPad however, especially for the iPad Pro. Worth a try, has usual there are some pay for coins but may not be necessary with patience. Although I'm stuck at level 51 at this time and may have to use some of my stored power ups to pass it.

Like the game, would like it even more if it didn't make my phone hot. Cant hold the phone to my face hot. Yea that kind. I have been playing clash of clans and royale for years and they do not ever make my phone hot like this. Fixxxx

A potentially great game transformed into a shameless cash-grab by EA

So THERE

We've seen it a thousand times: a game starts, fun and engaging. The colors are vibrant, the effects are dazzling and the rewards are small and plenty. Then a charming NPC puts you in a situation that requires "premium currency". The game kindly gives you a little bit to get you on your way, but not for long. Popcap has fallen to the depths of King and Rovio in their attempts to reengage their once loyal fan base and instead have allowed their creation to be dismantled and prostituted by a company infamous for lack of regard to content. I don't expect the structure of this game to change. I simply hope that Popcap is able to publish through a better company on their next pass.

I enjoy the game and don't find it confusing. There's a lot of things to learn but not too hard. It also depends on luck sometimes. I run out of lives often but I don't spend money to buy more. Just take a break do some other things. If you like the original bejeweled, you'll like this too.
