Best app ever
Ambaker33

I discovered this app on accident some how and it had been one of the most life changing apps I've ever used. I DO NOT buy ANY skin care until I review it on this website. And if it is not reviewed on this website, I simply don't use it.

This lady doesn't know jack
Cbabymomma

It's misleading for this woman to create a app that "tells you all you need to know about products", when really it's just her opinion. How she can claim she knows anything about products and ingredients and rank Cetaphil as high as she did is laughable. That product is filled with poison, artificial fragrance's and hormone disrupters like Sodium Laurel sulfate. Lavender is irritating to skin? What a joke! She needs to go back to school and do some research, pronto.

Not reliable
BubbaJake123

The app itself isn't badly designed, hence the two stars. However the content leaves much to be desired. Products are marked down randomly for seemingly insignificant and stupid reasons. If you want good beauty advice, ask your dermatologist or find another source, the so called "reviews" feel without any foundation to me.

Great Info Source
Piperatalanta

I bought the books as guides before the internet...it is that great of a resource. Even if you don't agree with everything this app is a great place to start since there are so many products and claims out there in the makeup and skin care industry.

Needs update
JamieB93

I love this website. I never buy anything without checking it. An app made it much more convenient. This app however really needs to be updated. I can't use it because it drives me crazy. It signs out every time I exit, its slow, glitchy. If they just updated it it would be perfect

So much potential

I am a huge and longtime fan of Paula and her brand including her books, makeup, and skincare but this app leaves a lot to be desired in terms of improving user friendly interface and functionality. I still use it but it can be a little frustrating.

Helpful but biased?
Momomazing

Lots of Paula's Choice promoted products. BUT several amazing reviews of mainstream and/or prestige products. Not updated completely, there are some missing products. But I do find myself using this before buying anything.

Must have app

Beautypedia is THE best resource for which products are worth your money! I appreciate that they rate all products from brands you’d find at Target to brands exclusive to high end department stores, and they’re not shy about singing the praises of a product that is on the lowest end of the cost spectrum - IF it’s worthy. Their reviews are based in science, and I like how they explain the rationale behind their decision to give products the rating they give. Another cool feature is the ability to scan the barcode of a product, so you can quickly look up a review while shopping. The biggest downside is having to constantly log back in to get to my favorites. This can be a pain if you’re in a store with crummy WiFi. I hope they have the ability to login using fingerprint technology, or to remain logged in as an upgrade soon. That would be a huge improvement.

My Go To App
Bee A Gee

This is my go-to-app for everything having to do with facial products. It is amazingly accurate in rating and explaining the myriad of cosmetic products.

New brands
Km93

I love using Beautypedia to know what to buy for skincare and makeup. Ever since I overhauled my skincare routine (and had to overhaul again 5 years later due to Rosacea) and makeup based on her reviews my skin has improved 110%. No more dryness due to overtreating my acne, my scarring and discoloration are way down as well. I would like to see more reviews adding newer brands such as Youth to the People, Acwell, Neogen, Biossance, etc...if I saw brand variety updated more often they would receive a solid 5 stars from me.
