Fantastic app

This app is very simple at first, but when you get into the nitty-gritty, it is a very in-depth music making medium. A gorgeous interface paired with seemingly countless well-designed preset sounds creates a pleasant experience for those who want to make quick jingles or who want to create full works of music (although I can't recommend the pro version enough). A few cons: the Instagram cover art source feature appears to be broken, as does the ringtone creator. Also I haven't quite figured out how to create a new sound based off a preset instrument, but I'll get there. 5 stars.

Beatwave doesn't even push all those IAP's onto you if you just want a fun little app. If you really get into it, though, you have the option to buy BWPro which gives you absolutely everything such as instruments and extra modification for ten bucks, which I believe is certainly worth it for this fantastic little app!

So much fun and a lot of good sounds and drums to play with. I could play with this for quite a few hours. Just lacks the ability to play more than 4 instruments at a time.
Versatile as f--k!

You can do note-by-note composing, or nearly hands-free ambience, which I use for therapy music (I'm busy accompanying with a didgeridoo.) It's like having a band mate who is never late and agrees to everything. And most functions are free! Every musician should have this on their phone.

I love to make music with Beatwave, because it's easy and fun. The inspirational titles that the app makes up for each new file are also a bonus. However, my main issues are this: 1.) I can't seem to properly share music on Twitter. I tried to tweet a piece that I had recorded, but no matter where I clicked, it wouldn't play! 2.) The ringtone function for me is inoperable. Every time I try to make a ringtone for my iPad, it crashes before finishing the ringtone. Those are my only two complaints. If those things were fixed, this app would be just about perfect.
Not a music genius, but a fun app

Easy to make random, decent sounding beats. I have no idea how serious this app is in terms of actual music quality etc., or whether it's anything more than an entertaining waste of time. Either way, good clean fun

I've been using this for 2 years now and I've loved every second. Perfect for beginners, and just plain fun for even the most experienced music producers. And, it's free! Although there are some features you have to pay for, you can make some great tracks using only what you start with. Great app.
