Biased game characters

suplex57

I do NOT like how the black character in the game has to look like a thug and shoot a sling shot that represents as a gun. I believe the game is biased towards different people and I believe the developers must share the same way of thinking to release this game with this format. I will uninstall the game.

It’s great but...

Any old school gamer will be instantly drawn to it by the great pixel art, retro style beat’em up! The animation is nice, sfx and music tie it all together but that where it all good ends and the problems begin for the typical “mobile” games. Touch controls are awful and cater for casuals as you mistakenly do other actions when you don’t mean to. That can lead you into situations where you can easily get gang up on by multiple enemies making the game not challenging but real cheap. The bad controls shouldn’t be the challenge but the game itself. AN OPTION FOR CONTROLLER SUPPORT WOULD BE GREAT for players that want precise control over the characters. As with other “free to play” mobile games it’s a grind-fest to do much of anything with upgrading and getting new characters that encourages players to “buy” your way. I lost my interest after a few days realizing the grind along with the repetitiveness.

Great game

Reminds me of supernintendo a lot

Very balanced gameplay: finished w/out in-app purchases

This game is a modern version of Double Dragon for Game Boy, which I adored as a kid. It’s fun, easy to play with touch screen and unlike other people I found the upgrade mechanics very fair. I finished the game with 3 stars on every level, playing about 30 min per day for a little over a month. I did not purchase any gems nor watched rewarded videos (maybe a couple at the beginning when a handful of coins really matters). not good news for the monetization team but a testament to the balance of the game! The strategy I used is the following: 1. don’t invest in upgrading early characters. Focus on collecting tokens and hats for characters that can go up to level 40+. I ended up fighting mostly with Tas and Jun, who has also the most hilarious moves. 2. There are only a few sidekicks that move the needle when the round gets hard. At the beginning it’s Radley and Butch. But I quickly switched to Don Mascarpone and 50 Kicks and only harvested those tokens. With both at level 5, you can beat enemies 3 or 4 levels higher than you. 3. Equip only on 3-star power ups for the boss fights. I usually used some food item to replenish energy and either invincibility or a gold attack/defense badge. 4. I spent the majority of my energy by quick-looting strategic tokens, hats, and power-ups. The rest of the energy to fight just enough to complete all the daily quests and get 10 diamonds. By checking the apps a couple of times a day you can harvest extra diamonds, so I could predictably get at least 100 diamonds per week and upgrade my character. Feedback for the devs: - power ups are poorly positioned while you play and it’s very easy to accidentally trigger them - 50 kicks is a way too powerful side kick. You guys should cap it at a point like Don Mascarpone. I am at level 14 and I go through an entire level unscathed, no matter how hard. - too much money. I don’t know how to spend them! (But again my strategy implied making a lot of quick loot vs fighting so maybe I’m an outlier) - I like the events but it’s too boring to do the same levels all over and over just to unlock a new character. I’d rather face a harder level. - sharing with friends quest can be easily gamed. - I would have watched more rewarded videos if they gave away diamonds (even if just one). Crank up those ad impressions! Overall I really enjoyed the game. Good job! I haven’t tried the multiplayer feature.

Awesome and great game!....But a few tweaks.

Okay, this game is awesome in many ways, But I think there needs to be a little update. When I check my daily quests, I see something I need to sign in for. And most people don’t sign in so they wouldn’t be able to get some diamonds off their daily quests. Please update this. But if you guys don’t, at least make it so we could buy one gem in the daily shop for 100 per gem and it should do this everyday. I think that would help the people who don’t sign in. Plus, it’s harder to evolve your characters now. Next, is the events. They cost too much tokens. And the chests are pretty much impossible to get. Back then, we were able to get like 14 gems in all a day. But now I only get like 2 in all because I didn’t sign in. And even the people who sign in get like 14 gems a day in tops. And that still wouldn’t help. Both of the chests cost like, Special: 900 Mythic: 2500 everybody pretty much needs in app purchases to get these chests. I rate this game 3 starts because the tweaks in this game could really take out all the fun in playing this game.

This game controls very well and has a good challenge like classic 90s beat em ups and has a really good art style.

Solid fighter!

For a free game, they really don’t push commercial on you too often. Of course, they give you the option to double coins to watch a video, so I do that sometimes. And... I 3 stared every level & didn’t pay a penny! It took 3 months to play & save up, but I did it & am very pleased with the results. Download now!!!

Beat Street is a 2D pixel game any kid would love. You can fight enemies using combos, special moves and weapons, there are many lovable characters and you can upgrade your favorite characters to make them stronger. All in all I recommend this game to kids at any age limit. Thank You for your time!
