The glitches outweigh the good

ThatOneStickman

I browse reddit almost daily, and I've been looking for a new 3rd party reddit application since Narwhal wasn't good enough. I tried out Beam, and it was pretty great. Most of the features work as intended. Most of the features. Sometimes when you long tap a photo, it freezes for a few seconds, and you never get to save it. Sometimes when you're browsing reddit, it freezes and NEVER unfreezes until you close the app and reopen it. If the glitches are fixed, go ahead. Give it a try. But for now, the app is too broken to stand on its two feet.

Best reddit app

dat a tat tat

I’ve had some criticism of this app before but they have since addressed all of this issues, so it shows they really do care about making this a better experience. This is hands done the best reddit app in my opinion

Good Alienblue alternative.

Danboon05

I tried the official Reddit app (mirrors Reddit redesign, a cluttered mess) and Apollo (no gallery view, poor Comments design) as a replacement for Alienblue, which no longer works on my new phone (RIP). Beam has a clean, readable design, and has a very similar browsing experience to Alienblue. Perfect for lurking on Reddit all day.

Perfect

NeonRaynDrops

Perfect. I was having a lot of trouble with getting things to load properly with Alien Blue and the Reddit app, and their interfaces have issues. This app is everything I would want in a Reddit app. I’ve used it for 2-3 weeks now and have nothing bad to say

horrible app

dr0zzy

gets stuck all the time. open setting and it freezes.. looking through some subs and it freezes. im tired of restarting the app every time i want to go back.

Good but Gifs don’t load

jpraerit

Overall a good app. Had been working just fine. But recently after latest update the app has been unable to load GIFs. This wasn’t expected.

A lot of crashes

Mari82592

It just crashes a lot!

Unstable

ruishigao

The UI is beautiful and when it works, it’s definitely my favorite Reddit app I’ve tried. Unfortunately, it’s prone to crashing. I see that it hasn’t been updated in at least a year, but fingers crossed that this app gets more love from its developer and I can eventually switch to using this app for reddit.

Wonderful app

Sam13703

This app is honestly better than the official Reddit app itself.
