Gifs won’t load at all

I’ve written emails to the devs inquiring about this issue for months with no reply at all. I think support for this app is dead. My review will remain at one star until they fix the gif s not loading issue as it has been for almost a year.

As a 4 year user of Beam, all I can say is that it’s been a good ride. This was my primary way of browsing Reddit for years and it makes me sad to see the app in such a buggy and glitchy state. The app crashes when you try to save a photo, most of the subreddits I’m subscribed to don’t show up in the list until I refresh, and I can’t switch between multireddits and subreddits anymore in the subscription tab. The app is unusable to me in its current state and it’s been this way for some time. On to greener pastures

It’s not a bad browser for Reddit if all you want to do is browse. You can’t report for specific subreddit reasons, and it won’t play gifs, but it’s free.

Like the simplicity compared to other reddit clients but app freezes whenever trying to save an image which I do often so having to close the app and reopen is extremely frustrating.

I tried to look at a gif but it won’t load. I clicked on the gif but the screen turns black and nothing happens. Please fix this

Have iPhone XR latest iOS version, when I hold on an image to save it the app freezes.

I’m a fan of the app. It has the odd bug but they’re working on them. It’s a prettier layout than others with a better image upload function - though it gets may be slightly more powerful in some infrequently used areas. I’d love to see the filters used the other way - instead of just filtering create a hit list for quick viewing. I can enter something like iPad Pro in the filter and it will parse a multi Reddit for just those posts. Maybe it’s there and I’m missing it. Anyway. Great app.
