Really disappointed in this app. My kids and I are HUGE fans of Doctor Who, so we were super excited for the release of this app. I bought and downloaded this app for my kids only to be disappointed. The app won't even open. I've restarted my iPad (where I downloaded it) and even re-downloaded the app..nothing, nada, zilch. I really hope this issue is fixed soon otherwise I'm out of the money I paid for this app and disappointed kids. I'd give it 2 maybe 3 stars but since I actually paid for it and the app won't even open, you're stuck with 1 star.

This appears to be a digital recreation of the physical coloring book that's been around for awhile. The back cover of that book promises 45 images just like this app so I assume you get all of them here. I had two main issues with app. The first is that the pictures themselves are low resolution images that become blurry and pixelated as soon as you zoom in past the default setting. Other coloring apps I have tried use vector graphics so no matter how big you make the lines they still appear silky smooth. I wasn't expecting that level of polish but it was extremely disappointing to try to zoom in to a smaller area in one of the detailed pattern images and immediately have it look awful. The other issue is that the only choice you are given for coloring is to pick a color and then tap on a white space and have it instantly fill the whole space with that color. Part of the reason I enjoy coloring is actually getting to move the pencil or pen and slowly fill in the space and add detail and shading. The is just like using the paint bucket tool in MS Paint and you can get a whole picture done in just a few minutes.

I thought I'd give an overview for what is exactly included in app and what is not. First off, the pictures are from the first colouring book the BBC released. As another reviewer mentioned the pictures are more or less poor quality. But it functions. Don't expect though to get the whole original colouring book. They picked 45 pictures from the book, they were honest up front about this. But don't expect both the second and fifth doctors to be in the pages. This, more than anything made me sad I bought the app. I love the fifth Doctor, and I am sad he isn't included. My two cents is, get the actual book and skip the app.

Color choices are nice, but the pictures are fairly detailed, and if you leave the app and come back later your progress is lost. I'll never finish a picture at this rate.

I was hesitant to buy this based on a previous review that states that the app doesn't work. A few other people on the BBC FB page tried and it worked for them, so I tried it myself. I'm in the US with an iPhone 6s+ and it works fine for me. Glad that I took the risk and downloaded it. Yay Doctor Who! :D

I've really enjoyed using this app, so far. Lots of color choices, simple to use, it lets you duplicate pages and pick up where you left off, save it to your camera roll or share directly to Facebook/Twitter. It'd be cool to have some gradient options, or custom colors, but not 100% necessary.

Whovian household here so we're all-in on Doctor Who. Downloaded the app to iPad and worked fine for me. I liked the mix of doctors and villains. Weeping angels ftw!

The pictures are good quality & I really like the "duplicate" feature that allows you to color each picture more than once. Colors are VERY basic & I would love too see additional color palettes such as metallics, gradients, pearlized etc. Good value for price.

As another reviewer mentioned, the images become heavily pixelated when you zoom in. And since you're coloring with a fill tool, it's a big issue that some of the lines don't quite meet. You end up filling more than just the area you chose. And the sample pictures are misleading because they show those areas as being different colors when it's not possible to actually do that because of the gaps. I had to request a refund because of the problems. Do more than just give low quality scans of a coloring book and I'll give you a better review. You might also give a choice between tools so that people can fill or have more control based on what they prefer. And being able to have a choice of more than just a preset palate would be nice. Also, remove the banner at the bottom that crops out part of the picture when you save it.

This is disappointing. These images are extremely low res. I didn't pay money to get blurry pictures.
