Best strategy game in iPad
Avenger009

Remind me of steel panthers. Excellent strategy, multiplayer awesome to set up ambush. Eventually a carriers w plane squadrons will add a different venue to the game, fog of war at that time will add further strategy, as you need to locate the fleet prior to attack. AI might not be powerful enough for it, but multiplayer might work. Excellent game lots of fun and now for .99 cents it is a steal

Bad

Aiming is impossible and therefore the game becomes pointless

Great concept, awful execution
Moriturimax

Take a really cool idea, naval fleets fighting each other, then take away every piece of technology or equipment that allowed modern naval vessels to duke it out effectively and you get Battle Fleet. I can just see it in my minds eye, sailors sitting on deck yelling out after each salvo, "No! A smidge more to the left and crank the elevation gear a couple clicks the other way!" Awful nearly useless targeting disk around each ship and the angles are backwards or sometjing, I tapped + and it went counter clockwise. Save your money and avoid this till they rethink targetting.

Great keep the updates coming
Say no to crashing

Fantastic game play but insultingly short unless more missions added pronto...which they were, keep em coming

Boring
filmmakerman82

Boring game with only 3 missions in campaign. Very difficult to aim.

Keeps getting better

Update: Developer has quickly added new missions and improved interface. Cool game that keeps getting better. This is cool. It's like the old school battleship game but now you can control everything. Assemble a fleet, add guns, and go out and blow up ships. The animations are cool, like following the gun fire. And it's got torpedos! I wish they had air craft carriers, though. Having some seeking kamikazie planes would be awesome.

Nice Gameplay and Graphics

Nice gameplay and graphics. Well done. Need more missions and campaigns. I would be willing to pay for additional mission and campaign "packages" so long as you add a ton more! Aiming is not impossible. You just have to zero in on your target by adjusting each shot according to your last shot. My only suggestion to improve aiming in the game would be to have a line extend from the aiming arrow across the "board" so to speak. Like a very thin white line that would move with your arrow as you adjusted your aim left or right. This would be especially helpful at longer distances from your target. I even caught myself using the straight edge of a piece of paper to get the near exact angle from longer distances. It works, but is tedious and would be better if built into the game imo. I concur with the other reviewer regarding the addition of aircraft carriers and planes. I also like the idea of having a line of sight or fog of war component. Excellent suggestions. I look forward to future missions and campaigns. I recommend this game.

Very promising but falls a little short of great
Cellman6476

I play a lot of war simulator games. This is one of the better apps. Setting up shot angle is very difficult especially on long shots. I would prefer some type of sighting feature that approximates what a ship might use in combat. There are only a limited number of campaigns, but the promise more. I have enjoyed many hours with this game.

Almost a good game

The premise is fantastic and the graphics are really pretty good. The interface is a little confused (the layout is awkward and occasionally interferes with game play). The actual gameplay is where the disappointment starts to cost stars. Each turret is player controlled but the aiming is in 'whole degrees' making some shots impossible - worse fire control than what actually existed in wwII! Each volley from a ship is a single shell so ranging is awkward. There is no compass on the ship and so each turn range and bearing have to be recalculated. The game addresses the player as "captain" but you are also a gunner's mate and a helmsman. Silly.

It's really a fun game! I couldn't stop playing it for 8 hours straight. The game Is really fun except theres so many objectives you have to complete or you lose. The game needs better weapons and its fun still.
