The game is great needs pass and play however and paying 20$ then paying for downloadable content is absurd.

Nothing like watching a German flamethrower team assault across an open field never getting hit by tanks or infantry and destroy a tank.

This is a great game. I only wish that the campaigns and the game itself wasn't so pricey. Also, if Battle Academy 2 goes over well, you should make a Battle Academy 3: Western Front about the war in the pacific. Other than the prices being so high, this is a game I enjoy

I've played strategy games all my life + I'm a history nut. I started playing Axis and Allies when I was seven. With that said I am very critical of such games. At first I really debated with myself if I should get this game due to the price. I finally bit the bullet, it and it paid off. Excellent details and great historical accuracy (excluding a few "what if" campaigns). I would recommend buying it with Battle Academy 2. Be warned though, if you buy it you MUST commit to it long term. All in all an excellent strategy game.

At first I thought that this game was a joke when I first played it, but sadly, the joke was on me. I read the great reviews and initially balked at the $20 price tag, but pulled the trigger. Worst mistake ever. The game play looks as if it was designed by a 4 years old playing with toys. It’s slow, clunky, and not really challenging. Adding more insult is once done with a few campaigns, they have the nerve to charge $5 a pop for each new one! Save your money and stay away from this one.

One of the very few PC-quality strategy turn games not dumbed down for mobile. Amazing value, given the countless hours of high quality gaming to be had for a few measly bucks, and they don't ROB you with IAPs, you can just get additional maps which I am totally happy to do. Deep game. A rarity for iOS which is full of crap superficial phone-based and IAP-based repetitive stuff. Buy this.

Let me start by saying this. I don't give out five stars easily at all. This is my second one of about 20 reviews. That alone says a lot about this game. The history and battle alone are magnificent and well thought out. The graphics are to die for as you can actually see the artillery shells and the wrecks of destroyed vehicles. I literally played this game when I was 5. It taught me a lot about the history of this era and I guess I have to admit this probably is not suited for 5 year olds but I guess it's to late to look back now. This games replay ability is extraordinary and after so so many years playing this I still struggle on the harder campaigns. It starts you out easy and then medium and hard and you can jump to whatever battle/campaign you want. If you are a strategy war game freak like my dad and I this game is a must have.
