Screen has shrunk - help devs!

Matthew B McDaniel

On my iPad Pro, the Beamdog and D&D screen are full size, but the Tutorial/Baldur’s Gate start screen are MINUTE. I’ve clicked through to begin a game, the map and play screen are full screen, but all the icons are small as well. Please advise. I’ve reinstalled with the same result.

Great game , tough controls

Jimp.

Please update for full screen on 10/11

Glitches make this unplayable

Great game... or so I’ve heard. I wouldn’t know as I can’t get past 5 minutes of it. The “Done” button of item/spell descriptions gets hidden behind the bottom menu and is not press-able. Every time this happens (about 1/3 times I look at an item or spell) I have to restart the game from a save. Have uninstalled and reinstalled game. No fix. Have current version of iPadOS (13.6) and of game. No fix. Horrible glitch. Will request a refund and avoid games like this in the future.

Wonderful Port!

I’m another person who doesn’t understand all the negative reviews here. This game is very well done and a lot of fun to play, but you need to learn how to play these types of games. There is a little bit of a learning curve up front, but it’s not that difficult. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll enjoy the game, storyline and depth of play. I attempted to play this game 15 years ago, but I didn’t pay much attention to the tutorial which caused me much frustration and eventually I abandoned the game. Now that I have taken some time to learn how the game works, I love it! They really did a fantastic job of getting this game onto a mobile platform. I’m very impressed!

Great game for the pc

Great game for the pc. Unfortunately horrible game for the phone. Being a direct port and not made for the phone the games text is way to small to read. And much of the game is unplayable because you can’t see what you need to see because it’s all to small.

Amazing, but slightly annoying.

I’ve spent hours on hours playing this game, trying to get the most out of it as I can, and it’s nothing short of spectacular. If you want a good example of an age defining game with enhanced gameplay, a charming story, and loveable characters, then this game was made for you. My only issue is with The Black Pits actually, where any time I try to beat the necromancer Lyyrk or something, my game crashes and fails, and I can’t continue on with the story. Still, that is only a small DLC, and everything else, besides the save system a bit, is a great work of art.

Pretty playable on mobile

I decided to try this out on my iPhone 11 despite the warning about screen size. I found the game still very much playable once the text is resized. I do wish the whole screen was used for the iPhone 11 so the buttons weren’t as tiny but it’s still manageable.

Awesome

@Falchonsays

This is an absolutely wonderful game. Outside of not having console access (to avoid having to roll stats for hours), BG works as well on an iPad as it does on PC. If you like deep RPGs with endless character creation options, definitely check this one out!

Very Disappointed

DCmapa

Loved the PC version. This one is so small and so difficult to make the characters do what you need that it is almost unplayable.Verybuggy. Just no worth the effort. A waste of money. After Elder Scrolls: Blades was such a bust I hoped this would be a better alternative. It isn’t.

Constantly crashes...AVOID

RSpire

Can’t play more than a few moments before the game freezes and has to be force-closed. I bought this game to play on my iPad Air, but it’s unplayable. Off-loaded apps, cleared RAM, reset, restarted...NOTHING changes the issue, so it’s obviously a game-specific problem. Talk about a waste of $$ and time.
