Nice App!

Just subscribed, excellent articles, reviews, and stunning photography! Runs without a hitch on both my iPad mini and iPhone 8 Plus. Runs perfect on the iPad Pro I have now also!

With the help of app support I was able to get my subscription quickly sorted out. I like the new layout. I recently got a new tablet and reading the magazine on it is great!

Amazing, you miss again.

I just find you folks keep selecting weak platforms. I consistently have app issue, sudden failure, need to sign in and recover issues, etc.. There are plenty of solid magazine platforms available, it appears your team just wants to be different. Please understand, it is not the visual appeal, which is fine, when I can rely on it. At issue is stability and consistency. I enjoy the content and I am a committed subscriber. I am also a technology professional, and from that point of view things are not so rosy. By comparison, I have dual subscriptions to about a dozen periodicals; backpacker is the most challenging. Managing subscriptions, getting the app to behave, ... well I have said enough. Try this, get help and keep doing what you do best; reporting on “our” favorite pastime.

TERRIBLE APP!!!!!!

Got this app and purchased 5 single issues, starting in March of this year. Have been trying for over a week now to read the issues I have, and there is nothing there! I have restored purchases at least 3 dozen times. I have turned my computer on and off. I have been in touch with Apple, they can’t help! Don’t get this app, or spend your money buying a subscription, because you’re just throwing your money away!!!!

Garbage app

Love the print edition. The app will only load adds, none of the other content shows up, just a stupid spinning circles Backapcker, higher a new developer, yours stinks.

What happened to my subscription?

I buy a year subscription and now it’s telling me to purchase this month’s magazine. What???

App was updated to death.

***Update: Just received an email asking if I wanted to update this review. No. As I said, I am done with Backpacker.*** Perfectly good app. Until update(s) resulted in app not recognizing valid paid iTunes subscription. Unable to resolve conflict, support comp’d a subscription, which lasted for the entirety of one log-on. Screw it: Backpacker is just not worth the time or aggravation. Maybe I’ll take up Trainspotting, instead. I told support that I no longer cared and was canceling my subscription, they thanked me and marked my complaint as “resolved“. So I guess everyone wins.

Not updating my Jan or March 17' issues had zero problems for 3 years now this; iPhone is working fine, but not the iPad

Completely Worth It!

I have been a Backpacker Subscriber for quite awhile now. I am going to keep getting the magazines but it is nice to have the magazine at my fingertips all of the time. Love It!

Don't buy this app

Duck you!

I purchased it and can not use it with my iPad. They don't give you any sign on info when you get it through iTunes. ITunes can't help and you can't get help via backpacker magazine without a sign on! Don't buy this app! Then I signed up through backpacker directly with my iPad and it still will not show any current issues to download.
