How?

Pavi 86

How does having the next 100 roles mean it’s random? The computer hardly seems to play on the same terms. If you want to throw your computer or phone against the wall in frustration because the computer doesn’t cheat, but gets extremely lucky all the time, this is the game for you.

Sore looser

VincibleYin

The AI can’t stand to loose! Such a bad sport! I just laugh now when AI rolls double after double after double while bearing off! HA! HA! HA! UPDATE: I am just going to have to try to find another bg game.....I find it hard to keep playing this program. Sure I get doubles at times but usually when I can’t use it. You have the best platform I have found but HECK YOU AND GOODBY!!!!! Deleting

Probably looks at future rolls...

Kurt Stockton

To keep the playing-level difficulty consistent, it seems the AI will look ahead at future rolls and ‘double’ accordingly, if the AI feels it needs to win the game to keep the same ‘rating’. I’ve found that never accepting a doubling throws this scheme off. But yeah, I need convincing that the game doesn’t look at future rolls to keep its rating magically consistent. Great app, tho.

Such a cheap cheater!

Tramps

Wish I constantly got all those doubles off the bar. Fun but totally NOT fair!!!!!

Not saying the app cheats...

Awesome Birds!

But it sure feels that way. Rolls seem to dramatically change based on difficulty settings. I’ve played a lot and it very much feels like the computer gets advantages. I understand the developer strongly states it’s all fair. I don’t dispute that. I am solely speaking of my impressions with playing the game. My one word review: frustrating.

Worthless, don't buy this game

Kpopguru

This game is a waste of money. The dice rolls are not random. Doubles occur with ridiculous frequency, usually to the game’s advantage. It should be removed from the App Store. The developer’s claims that the dice rolls are random is utter nonsense. He should implement a better random number generator to make the rolls truly random.

No way to quit...

bob in memphis

As far as I can tell, the only way to quit the app is to reboot the phone. Sort of annoying. Using a XS and a dev copy of iOS (beta). Maybe that’s the problem but if so, might be a good idea to release one that works...

I use it all the time

kennif

I play a lot of Backgammon I don’t think they make a better backgammon AI but I could be wrong anyways backgammon is getting boring

The computer cheats

leo user

Like a lot of other reviews, the game is very similar to actual backgammon with the exception that the computer definitely, unequivocally rolls better numbers than the player. The more games you win against the computer, the more the computer traps the user into a lose-lose cycle. It’s infuriating and reason enough to quit using this app completely. The engineers need to STOP ignoring the users who keep complaining about this. We cannot ALL be wrong. Start listening to complains and create a product worthy of praise.

Too many timely perfect numbers—-rolls are not random
