I tried so many programs for learning, this is the best one and easer apps I’ve ever had. Thank you.
This program has you respond to translations by typing your answers but the program’s keypad doesn’t have the “esset” (double “s”) German letter and no option to input two s’s in your response so you get it wrong every time you need to use the double s! You’re trying to spell something correctly but the app prevents you from doing it. Not a good start for learning a language!!!!
Overpriced for what you get, even when compared to other free apps such as duolingo. The developers should charge for the app as a whole (pay a single price per access to a language), and not an outlandish monthly subscription, especially when most people won’t have the time to continuously use it on a daily basis. I also don’t like that there is no way to skip certain “lessons”, which I am already very familiar with, so I ended up wasting a lot of time on very basic aspects of the language as opposed to moving on to more advanced topics. I have deleted the app and now use the aforementioned duolingo, which I actually prefer. In my opinion the value simply isn’t there.
I mostly like the program but I am very frustrated that even when I switch my keyboard to German it defaults back to English so I continue to get spelling errors
The requirement to type the correct word hides the picture asking for the word. Problem didn’t occur during the “test drive” before I purchased. Now, I have the task of getting my money back.
The developers have not figured out the real estate on an iPad, making many of the lessons impossible to complete. I was liking the product, but its a drag when you cant see the paragraph you need to complete because the digital keyboard blocks your view. Still have not received an answer to my “contact me” question about it...Die erste Eindruck war night gut...
Couldn’t be more pleased. If you do a little work, you learn a great deal. German is not easy, but Babel makes conjugating verbs so simple you don’t realize you are doing it. It only takes weeks to make real progress in conversational German. I can’t wait to start studying Spanish. Pat
I like the language part of the course but I do not like Babbel pushing homosexuality in their graphics. The multi- kulti I can tolerate but same sex indoctrination is going too far. I restrain myself.
Duo offers comparable service but still allows for free access. Monthly subscription gouges customers.
I took a few German college courses but didn't use the language for seven years. Obviously one forgets if you don't use it. This ap really helped me remember!!it even records your voice and helps your pronunciation! Awesome !!
