Azuga FleetMobile

Azuga FleetMobile is a driver-first application designed to reward drivers for good behavior. By gamifying driver behavior and instilling a sense of competition, the application motivates drivers towards safer driving, better fuel efficiency and a reduced carbon footprint. Every fleet owner knows how their drivers feel about being tracked. While business owners feel that it is a necessary business tool for today’s modern fleet, drivers never like being tracked. There’s always a feeling of ‘big brother is watching you’. Azuga’s Driver Rewards app changes that conversation. Here is how it works:
Category Price Seller Device
Business Free Azuga, Inc iPhone, iPad, iPod

The Azuga device, which is plugged directly into the vehicle’s on-board computer, captures data on how safely and efficiently your employees drive.

Azuga creates a score and ranking based on driver behavior data. This includes number of speeding events, speeding duration, sudden starts, idling, miles driven, and hard braking.

From a laptop, mobile phone, or tablet, you can look at the driver leaderboard, and apply rewards from top brands like Walmart, Amazon and Burger King to your best drivers.

Drivers can look up their own scores so they can see what behavior is risky and coach themselves into becoming safer, more efficient drivers. They can also look at the scores of fellow drivers to see the competition. Not only is this a great platform for getting your drivers to improve their driving safety and efficiency, but it also makes safe, efficient driving really fun!

What a Rewards Program can Solve:

For the last 2 years, Driver Turnover has been above 90% for large truckload carriers and 50%+ for small business drivers.

Hiring a new driver costs between $800 - $2,000

Organizations that provide non-cash rewards/recognition had an annual year over year revenue increase of 9.6% versus 3% for all others

95% of Americans consider perks & benefits while deciding to stay or take a new job.

You wouldn’t believe how much you will save in the long run just by treating your employees to a free sandwich or coffee every now and again. Smaller rewards, but more frequent rewards. Here is what you can expect with a Driver Rewards Program:

Your drivers will improve their fuel efficiency by at least 8% by reducing speeding, idling and hard braking incidents, and lessening drive time through improved routing.

Driver Loyalty: Your employees will want to stay with your company, lowering your onboarding costs and employee churn in the process.

A Positive and Productive Company Culture: Creating a great company culture starts from the top. By incentivizing your employees, you will be very pleased with how your customer service improves and by how many customers will want to keep coming back!

Self-Coaching: Azuga Driver Rewards allows drivers to see their own performance so they can figure out strategies to improve performance and coach themselves to being a top driver! Why threaten drivers when you can offer rewards?

In the beginning I did not like the app but now after 3 years or so I became a better driver. My wife will say when I drive in my personal car Roel you can drive faster.

Great app

This app works great. I have been using it for a few months now without any issues. It’s nice to know where all your trucks are at all times.

I understand the concept of the gps tracker for fleet management and support it. The biggest problem is the device doesn’t understand what is happening in real-time. You get dinged for a hard break for someone cutting you off where it was the safe thing to break, or get dinged for speeding as you cost down a hill with cruise set to the speed limit. The device can’t see what’s going on and will ding you just because that’s what it’s programmed to do even though what you did was probably the safer/correct decision.

Interesting premise but lacking detail
CB-OKC-1

I think it will eventually be a good program, but in its present state it doesn’t give you enough information. It gives you daily driving ratings as a number, but doesn’t explain how that number is generated. It will also claim incidents occurred, but then not give you any information about the incidents. The metrics need clarity. Just giving a number from 1 to 100 does not actually explain what you are doing right or wrong.

Azuga accuracy
Delataga

Not accurate with CO interstate speed limits. Since installed has actually caused safety hazards, people constantly tail too close putting both them and myself in danger. Had a semi pass me, yet app claims I was speeding.

Not off to a good start direction say navigate to dashboard > utilizes > installation A. By scanning the barcode of the device B. By manually entering the SN None of the above can be done

Not very accurate. Over critical with events.

Don’t understand how I took streets to my job site on day, but when I look at my trip log, it shows me taking two freeways. Hmmm..... thought these unit had gps mapping. How can I get an acceleration event from 3mph to 11 mph??? I just left from a stop light and this thing is beeping at me. I feel this app is more of a hazard because of the ridiculous events. I’m running more yellow lights now to avoid getting braking events and lowering my score. I don’t drive as bad as this app says I do. Very frustrating.
