Downloaded this ap and some maps of some local forests. I was so impressed that my coordinates was tracked on the maps and no cell service was needed. This is an off-road must have.

I downloaded this app for a college class I was taking. We went on two searches for missing persons and used the tracking feature to show where we searched. These tracks can be exported and overlaid on a map to show multiple tracks (recorded by different people) to show areas that were missed during the search, and to show the ground we covered. Outside of class I use this for geocaching. I recently went on an 8-mile hike that maps helped me to find an easier access point to a trail, and the tracking feature helped to make sure I was on the correct path back to the car. You can set multiple waypoints, color code them or use a symbol, and upload pictures to the waypoints for reference. There are also several coordinate formats to choose from! I love love love the tracking feature, you can see exactly where you went, how far you went, and how long you were tracking for, just remember to turn tracking off when you are done. There are plenty of FREE MAPS available through this app and you can filter out the premium member maps, but remember to download them while you have WiFi/signal. They do not take long to download but you cannot use the maps without downloading them. -J.H. North Carolina

Looks like a very nice app for specific locations. I was looking for something with a wider variety of information. Received a very fast and nice response to questions I had about the app though. 5 stars for that.
